OK, I stopped into Joann Fabrics and found a couple of different items that could work.

Pony Bead Lacing. There were a pack including red/blue/black for $6. These are marked 60 ft.

They also had a multi pack with 30 different colors for $2.

A third peg had a 2 pack with a black roll and a frosted roll, also $2.


I did find the S'getti spools at AC Moore for $2.49. I feel this brand is a tad small, even though it looks exactly like the one in the pic above.

I should have put some text with the pics, but I was comparing the roll with the modern and vintage hoses. It must have been ac moore then, that sounds right.

I bought some of the glow in the dark stuff at Hobby Lobby to use for a custom I planned to have at Joecon. I just didn't get it done. I think they have it for about $4.

How could I get some clear string?
I just dont need 50 yard...
