I say "sealed", as I don't mind if they are mint on card, some kind of blister card or mail-away. Since a lot of Joes from the last 15 years are considered vintage but aren't the original O-Rings I was curious what search terms are the best. Ebay really need a 1982-1994 sub-category.

Searching by years and version of character helps, like one of the following:
- unopened 84 Cobra Commander
- 1984 Cobra Commander sealed
- Cobra Commander v2 mail away

chad_ghost has the best ideas here. Somewhat less effective but possibles would include "RAH" for "Real American Hero", or "Original" or possibly "Vintage".

A lot of people might not know this, you can rule certain words out of your searches. I imagine your problem is that you search for "MOC GIJoe" and get a ton hits on the 25th Anniversary stuff. So take the anniversary stuff out.

MOC GIJoe -25th

The minus sign will leave everything with "25th" in the title off the search.

MOC GIJoe = 4,278 listings
MOC GIJoe -25th = 334 listings

You can add additional "subtractions" as you look through the searches. "-200" will remove anything that has a year in the listing of 2000 to 2009. "-201" will remove 2010 through now. Try it out, it makes this so much nicer to look for vintage items.
