Indeed?

That clinched it. This figure is doomed.

'Which existing torso' is the key question, tho.

Time to break everyone's heart. This post on the Toyark details the figure in hand:

http://www.toyark.com/showpost.php?p=611970&postcount=17250

In short, new torso is like the newer Marvel Inifinite so no torso articulation and it's cast in two parts. Legs are the same sculpt but retooled so no screw and a MU Hip. Same arms as far as i can tell. Hip movement is restricted by the torso sculpt since it's hard plastic, he won't be sitting down.

Are you as disappointed as I am?

Those popping out legs are the main reason why I didn't buy many MU figures.
It's pretty annoying for a collector who's just trying to pose his figure so I can imagine how frustrated kids must be towards them. "Here come Spiderm... dang it. Ok, here we go. Watch out! Here comes Spi... dang it!!!!"

Yup, that's what I recall us being told from the get-go when he was revealed: a no-ticulated solid torso. Enjoy your bricks, gentlemen. I'll go without rather than pay to be unhappy.

I feel that it's okay here because of the jacket, and it also would be an easy fix.

The Cobra soldier torso is an easy part to get and would look great with a tie added to it (e.g. Dr. Venom).

**edit**
Nevermind, I just read the review. The jacket IS the torso. :(

That's odd I don't have that problem at all unless I force it to where it does pop out.

Never had that problem with MU figures only the Toy Biz pre-cursor line SHS.

MU Beast's legs don't stay on for crap, imho. They're terribly engineered, ridiculously off-center from a leg's proper point of rotation.
