I was going through a couple of boxes of VERY miscellaneous G.I.Joe parts last night, and I found a clear O-Ring.

Had a little fun with it, and installed it in that transparent Mirage figure that came with that Winter Operations set. The figure in intricate enough with enough painted trim that it didn't make all that much visual difference, but I just thought it'd be a nice touch.

But I'm trying to figure out where it came from. I don't recall G.I. Joe EVER using clear O-Rings. Does anyone?

I've never seen a clear one before. Certainly not your standard issue.

Is the question about an odd o-ring or is it an odd question about an o-ring.

And that's a good question in and of itself, really. :) Could be both, I suppose.

And I hardly think it was what JoeMichaels70 suspected, since I really can't imagine how something like that would get into a G.I. Joe parts box.

I wondered if perhaps it might've been from Transformers Action Masters?

It's a ring that came from an offbrand figure. I think one with metal parts had one, and one of the cheap straight arm figures came with them too.

I find that they don't stretch as much as the black rubber ones, so they stay pretty much intact - despite being like 30 years old.

True, it was a struggle installing it in Mirage. We'll see how long it holds up.

I've been needing a clear O-ring to put inside a clear cast custom Zartan I got from Alyosha several years back.

Well, at least you know such things now exist. Surprised the heck out of me.

That Zartan sounds pretty cool, by the way.
