I know we've got some Stargate fans on here so I thought I'd ask. For the past few years, I've been rounding up bits of stuff here and there to make some proper SG1 customs. I have a set of heads I want to use for figures, and the other day I ran across this.

Most of the Stargates I see out there seem way too small with Joe figures to be believable, and short of making one myself, I thought I'd give this one a shot. At nearly 12'' in diameter, it seems like it would look pretty good with Joes. Does anyone else have one of these?

That looks like it is a cast of the build a gate from tthe TV toyline (if you look closely at one of the pics you can see the line where the pieces connect). I have the original this is cast from (I have 2 actually) and it looks great with 4" figures.

Yeah, the scale from the 6" - 7" (?) figures is perfect for the 1/18th scale. If this is the same size, then I would say that it is also perfect.

I finally was able to track down a gate and ramp for a decent price and got the wormhole and closed iris from ebay to complete my set-up.

That looks fantastic! I've just gotten back into SG1 and the wheels are starting to turn. Are there any more sets from that eBay seller?

Got them here, seller also has the wormhole for the Atlantis gate.

I remember Hasbro's Stargate line used a modified AWE-Striker, since the figures were slightly larger.

What I liked were the alien fighter craft. I bought three of them and assigned them to the Lunartix, even though it's impossible to get Lobotomaxx to sit in one of them.

Is anyone still doing casts of the Stargate? Tracking down those Diamond Select pieces looks painful (and expensive)!
