Perhaps it’s to diversify the Hasbro movie franchises with a Jem and the Hologram adaptation, perhaps it’s for fear that the negative reviews the GI Joe movies have received ill negatively impact the box office of a third go around, perhaps The Rock is just too busy to make the original release date, perhaps a lot of things. Or…

Transformers: Age of Extinction is out in a few weeks. It is the 4th Transformers movie, the first installment outside of the original trilogy’s “plot”, and features Dinobots, probably the last big component of the franchise fans have been asking for this side of Beast Wars. Maybe it’s the start of a new trilogy of Transformers films. Or…

Ever since The Avergers turned marvel into the new Hollywood juggernaut, the buzz word around tinsel town has been Megafranchise. You can’t just have a movie that leads into a sequel and maybe a trilogy, now you need a movie that can be spun off and crossed over. And here Paramount is with the movie rights to two franchises that have been crossing over for thirty years.

What would you want from a post-credit teaser that could lead into a Transformers/GI Joe crossover? Cobra Commander picking up the bits of a destroyed Megatron, hissing “We can rebuild him.” Duke waking up covered in Cybertronian cybertronic implants (shades of Robo-Joe), screaming “What did you do to me?” at some Decepticon, who replies “Transformed you?” Hound transforms into a Jeep and drives up to a military base, where Roadblock climbs in? A badly beaten Galvatron stumbles into a strange forest in the Himalayas, where what looked like a giant snake wrapping around turns out to be Golobulus, and he has a plan?

I think you are limiting yourself a bit. We're talking MEGA-franchise, and a Jem and the Holograms movie is on the horizon? THAT'S where the post credit teaser needs to start... with Cold Slither approaching whoever the villain is in the Jem movie and all of them having a jam session with Soundwave on his Ratbat key-tar.

The military team from the first TF movie should have been Joes or that team could have become GI Joe which might be a fun way to introduce a new team of GI Joe characters.
