I stopped posting the IDW updates a while ago because no one seemed to care. But Hitting #200 (taking into account the continuation from Hama's Marvel run) is pretty cool for a "toy tie-in". In addition to the typical Trimpe cover and Hama cover, Robert Atkins is doing a joining cover to tie-in with Transformers: Regeneration One #100. On top of that it looks like IDW is doing a #1 reprinting for $1.

I've been greatly enjoying both the Hama continuation of Real American Hero, and the Transformers Regeneration One title with Furman at the helm. As they approach #200 and #100 respectively, I congratulate IDW on bringing both titles back, and hope they'll continue to run for a long time to come.

Was the "Hot Potato" story in GI Joe #1 or 2?

#1 and I don't think that story has been reprinted in any of the modern runs. Not the comicpack, not the DDP trades, and not the earlier IDw trades, although the Complete collection might have fixed that.

It did, "Hot Potato" was included.

I'll have to check it out. I hadn't read that story since I was a kid and remember enjoying it more than the feature. I was really disappointed when I opened comic pack #1 and it wasn't included.
