I was thinking about this thread over lunch today (I actually made a list for all potential pilots)
I have mine at the back of the canopy past where one would need to see to look out – one on each side.

I guess this would be Major Altitude's job as aircraft painter...

Here are my ideas of what each regular jet pilots (and astronauts, I figure they fly jets when not in space) image would be:
Slip Stream - A red cross hairs (he liked to play video games) with a black tornado behind it titled “Game Over”

Maverick - Crossed six shooters (brown grips) with a sheriffs star behind titled “The Law”

Dog Fight – Snarling Dog head silhouetted on a top view outline of a jet titled “No Trespassing”

Ghost Rider – isometric Biplane with Skulls on wings titled “Silent but deadly”

Sky Striker – Lunging Tiger Dropping a bomb titled “Claws first”

Keel Haul – Naval Eagle clutching anchor titled “Sea Eagle”

Barrel Roll – Cross Hairs w/ wings on either side titled “Long Shot”

Payload – Crescent moon w/ jet flying past in silhouette titled "Fly me to the moon” *

Space Shot – Missile followed by a shooting star titled “Make a wish”

Count Down – Rocket w/ 3 on the left, 2 underneath and 1 to the right
titled “Godspeed”

Wild Bill – Lasso rope around a Stetson with pearl handled pistols titled “Cowboy Up”

Lift Ticket – Ticket Stub that says admit 1 on it titled “all aboard”

Windmill - Spining windmill blades titled "Giant Killer"

Up Draft - Tornado swirl titled "A Mighty Wind"

Other Pilots people probably don’t use:
Major Altitude (Attitude) - Paint Sprayer titled " Writing on the wall"

Tomahawk (ROC) – Crossed arrow and tomahawk w/feathers titled “Broken Arrow”

Air Raid (ROC) siren buggles with a bomb falling out the bottom titled “Fair Warning”

Iron Hand (IDW Fodder character) – Clutched Gauntlet with rivets titled “Rock…shoot”

Loach (IDW Fodder Character) - Helo Pilot - Three Small Fish "Small Fry"

Light Horse (IDW Fodder Character, helo pilot) – rearing horse titled “Saddle up”

Harrison (Marvel Comic Fodder, guy who flew his plane into a target) – plane flying into a cross hairs titled “Going Down”

Maple Leaf (GI Joe Extreme Mayday) –Maple Leaf in red w/white wings– yeah she’s Canadian originally titled “North Wind”

Glenda – The Argentinian flag Sun titled “Sun burn”

Blades – Crossed SAS daggers titled “He who dares…”

Vorona (Diana) – Song bird silhouette with machine gun barrels forward out the wings titled “Small but fierce”

Major Stone - Skull with glowing red eye and beret colored metallic titled "No Bones"

Good list MBB. Not a bad one in the bunch.

Thinking along Hasbro's lines, Wild Bill is most likely the only one they go with, and considering the unlikelyness (fairly certain that's not a word) of us getting a 25th/30th Dragonfly (damnit), I could have seen him getting a marking especially considering his PMOS is fixed-wing pilot, not Helo pilot. Maybe Cobra Stickers will see this list and get some ideas. They've already got all the names as decals for the pilot markings.

Oh and while my Sky Striker is sporting Ace's High, my Leather Fire Helmet is sporting Snake Eyes on one of the reflective tetrahedrons! My fellow firfighters make fun of me but I know I'm cool!
