Falcone is working on an o-ring version of Shooter/female Joe trooper. This showed up on JoeCanuck. I know it will interest quite a few of you, so here is the link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/790 ... e-commando

Each 10$ pledge gets you 1 figure. Pretty good price IMO. (I am not affiliated with this project, so I can't speak to the quality of the product)

So is the pledge just for the production of the commando figure or the whole line?

This is kind of disappointing. I've been following his thread closely, so I find it weird that I only now am hearing it is being Kickstarted and that the Kickstarter is almost over. Also, as far as Kickstarters go, this one is pretty bland.

I know it's a bit chicken and the egg... But I really need to see a final version of the figure before I'd commit $ to the project... Based just on the prototype sculpt...there are issues that bother me about the arms...

The Kickstarter is just for the commando paint variant. The original figure will be produced regardless. I actually hope the Kickstarter falls short, which it looks like it will. I want to work out a few of the problems before I proceed again. That will delay production by about a month so I will be able to put up a month long Kickstarter which will include a bunch of repaints instead of one.

Dude, I am so glad you're doing this! I always get jealous of Transformers collectors who get such a variety of awesome 3rd party toys that often put the Has/Tak offerings to shame. While MJ Gunrunners and Slayer have given us some amazing accessories, I have long wished for some 3rd party Joes to show up. I'm not even a fan of female Joes, but she looks excellent, right out of 1986 and she even has swivel wrists.

I hope you sell a million of these, which will encourage further 3rd party figures to come. Good luck!!
