I'm doing some research to track down all the elements of the 1982 Fan Club Kit. I just got in the mail one of my grails - the actual web belt with buckle from the kit - which I had as a kid and loved to death. I have the membership card, and some day I will find the newsletter. However, I want to mock up or recreate the dog tag. I need to know the specific info listed, on how many lines, and EXACTLY what it looked like. Yojoe depicts a shiny tag with 3-4 lines of illegible writing. Also, it has the "notch", but is unlike an actual dog tag because there is no raised edge and the letters are engraved, not embossed.

If you don't want to read all that, send me a picture of an actual fan club dog tag if you have it!

I still have the belt, buckle, and cap, but the dog tag is long gone, I think. :/ I thought for sure that it came with your name on it. Am I just remembering wrong?

Mine definitely came embossed, not engraved.

I joined twice, one had heavy imprinted letters stamped into it, the other was a lighter imprint that didn't show on the back best I remember. I should get them out and check.

Sorry man, I had forgotten.. I got the dog tags out from my childhood, one has the heavy imprint from the back that kinda pushes out the letters/numbers. The other has a smooth back because its more like engraved on the front. Both have the notch in the saw place.
