Keep at least one each of the figures, gijoey. You'll miss them too much otherwise.

And you have my sympathy. I had to eBay some vehicles this week, and even though most of them sold, and it's something that I need to do, it's still heartbreaking.

The problem is- who wants New Sculpt figures? (And I see a lot in there.) I don't care how much you work it, there's no real demand. ARAH stuff you'll do okay on. And 25 style you can make some money back.

This. New Sculpt has almost no market.

So why can't I get them for dirt cheap?

I'm not saying that there is a market but sellers sure aren't treating them that way.

NS, with the exception of the T-crotch stuff does as well as ARAH.

You can get retail, but it will take TIME. The good stuff will go immediately, and everything else will linger. It will sell, itll just take extreme patience. And, with no Google advertising to get your site noticed without a serious investment of time spreading the word, I think a website would be a total waste of time, money and effort unless you're in it for the long haul.

I'd say if you want to get top dollar, use eBay. And itll still take awhile.

'Good stuff' depends on who you ask.

I'd say make small lots including "hot" figures and less popular ones otherwise you might end up with a bunch of figures that won't sell.

I agree with the premise here, but I'm not sure. The problem is, I don't think you're gaining any $ by lumping in the lesser figs with a quality one. For example, if you can sell a Hannibal fig for $12, just because you put 4 other random figures in with him, doesn't mean you'll get more than $12 total for the lot.

I would still do lots with the lesser figs combined (5-10 at a time, and take what you can get) and do individual sales of the more valuable ones. If you sell vehicles, pair them with the driver, and do maybe two at a time, again unless you've got a hot one, and then do that one by itself.

For the army builders, either put them into squads of 5 or so each, or go big and do a huge lot. I've seen both styles work. If you do multiple smaller squads, only have one such sale active at a time, or they will take bids away from each other.

You can set up some sales templates on ebay, which would allow the girls an easier time of helping list stuff also.

Try to start your sales on Sundays and Mondays when possible, but start your next wave right as the previous wave is ending. Don't list everything at once, or you'll overwhelm the market and lose bids. And pimp your sales. Show your ebay link in the marketplace, and keep it relevant with new items added. Put a list at HT (and bump it daily), and take advantage of the fact HT lets you have an ebay link in your profile/avatar by posting something at least once a day. Since this is vintage stuff, then you're failing if you don't find a way to list them at YoJoe.com (I don't know their marketplace rules though, since all I usually sell are customs).

So, I also agree with ZG - unless you plan on gaining additional inventory and making a little side business out of it, the online store option just isn't going to be worth the time or cost. Not when ebay is already there and ready to use. Yeah, you're paying them a commission, but probably at a lower cost to you than hanging out your own shingle.

But, if you have a number in mind, then yeah, send someone like ZG a pm and make him the offer.

Otherwise, I say go to ebay. Same with the comics, although you might find a regional store willing to buy a bulk inventory, which would narrow down your work by a large chunk. I assume same general approach though, otherwise. Highlight the gems, pair up the rest.

You might want to check your local Craigslist to see if there are any potential buyers if you wanted to go the quick route. Something like this: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/wan/3107669826.html

Again, it would be faster, with a lower return, but at least you'd save on shipping.
