Looks like the whole story is here:
http://www.deadline.com/2012/05/big-pro ... big-delay/

Looks like Tatum is a big reason. Man I hope Magic Mike puts Tatum in the "LASER BLAST".

Looks like from now on any of my RoC Tatum 'Duke' likeness headsculpts will henceforth be known as 'Magic Mike' and he will be part of a new group, putting the 'action' (  :nudge: :nudge: ) in Action Force...

Is it against site rules for someone to post a link to the current version of the movie if it showed up on the Internet? I'm actually curious to see the "pre-3D" movie. One, I'd love to see if the movie is truly as bad as its being made out to be. Second, I can't imagine any GI Joe movie where they would kill off Duke, no matter how much the fanboys dislike him - I'd like to see how they handled it.

It would be cool. But I believe it could dammage our sites relationship. With Hasbro.

I'm not a mod, but I played one several years ago on TV. We generally don't post links to such material on the site as it is considered to be a bad, bad, very bad thing.

But if you do want to share such a link, you could use my PM to test your ability to share links that way.

please.

If memory serves, they already almost did this with the original cartoon movie and pulled back at the last minute.

Leading a friend of mine to make up the following exchange.

:doc: Duke will Survive!
:og13: YAY!
:doc: But he'll have snake aids.
:og13: Oh....

Jon is still working on the film, so I wouldn't expect to find anything online "leaked" or otherwise.

Considering that you hear about some preview screenings, I would be surprised if a version isn't already out there.

Today, they were discussing this on NPR (Morning Edition). Hoped they would delve more into the story behind why Paramount, but instead they just stuck on the general "blah" the movie industry is experiencing this year (except for Avengers). Nothing new, but if you are interested, you can pull it up on their website.

It's amazing how bad movies don't make any money, and they say the public just isn't watching movies this summer,, but Avengers makes bank, and it's an oddity.

Eh, they should have figured on Dark Shadows not doing better and making a movie about a board game still sounds like a bad idea.

Then films like Snow White & The Huntsman did better than expected and Prometheus might as well... plus that other Batman movie.

With Avengers, it has a good mix of adult & kid-friendly elements to it. So parents can take their kids to see it and not feel like they might see too much violence on-screen or complex elements that kids wouldn't get.

Part of its "oddity" is that adjusted for inflation it's getting near the ET/Gone With The Wind/Sound of Music/Star Wars territory in terms of box office performance, yet no one's mentioning it for Oscar stuff beyond effects. Which, also, sounds like Star Wars give or take musical score.
