Great to see you again, and I concur with your last statement.

Did some moving around and adding of items since the last round of pictures including finally sorting through my army builders (more on that to follow...). Since there was some recent talk over the International Mean Dogs I pulled out mine (along with some other choice International items). The Funskool Mean Dog (left - with oddly replaced stickers) and UK Mean Dog. And the put together third Equalizer.

Image

Changed up this Int. shelf some. Added a boxed Funskool AWE and Kaptator (radar rat) from Brazil. I moved Urzor to the next shelf down along side my carded Piper.

Image

Added the Argentina Ferret to the mix.

Image

And some added boxed items in the back. Still haven't found that all green sidecar yet...

Image

And some boxed and Int items on the bottom Cobra shelf. Boxed vehicles are self explanatory. Got the UK Stinger there with the rubber wheels, Red Water Moccasin, and Python Patrol Swampfire from Brazil.

Opened up that box of Joe books finally. I'm glad that I did, I forgot what I even had in there. Here's what was inside:

Some random Joe books...

Image

Some G.I. Joe Magazine issues. I love these covers. Amazing art!

Image

I have two copies of Mr. Angry face here. Not sure where I picked up the second from. Anyone know the significance of that particular Lee's magazine?

Image

Some Action Force magazines I didn't know were actually in there (along with some coloring books). The second set of covers I thought were particularly interesting.

Image

Image

And I also found this Japanese paperwork inside!

Japanese filecards.

Image

Japanses HISS Blueprints (instructions are on the other side). I thought the parts breakdown on the side of the blueprints was really neat.

Image

Japanese mail order catalog and the top half of a cardback (Gung Ho's).

Image

Japanese catalogs. Somehow I ended up with two.

Image

Image

Close up of the Japanese U.S.S. Flagg catalog diorama.

As I mentioned before, I decided to sort my Army Builders and other figures today. This will likely be the only time I photograph my figures or have them out en-mass to photograph, just not something I enjoy, in general I dislike having figures standing around on shelves (my Marvel Universe figures being the primary exception), so hope you enjoy these pics.

Step 1, unpacking the first box...

Image

A close up of the box contents... lots of boxes like this.

Image

Halfway through the first part of the sort. I stopped around noon for lunch, and this was done off and on through out the day. I rarely spent more than 30 minutes at a time in the room sorting the figures.

These next few are close ups of the various piles at the halfway point.

What was left on the table to still sort through.

These next three are sorted non-army builders. First box: convention figures. Second box: new sculpt era figures. Third box: customs.

After lunch and an extended TV break I got back to it. Finally all sorted.

Image

Some boxes that still need to be emptied. No Army Builders left in them, mostly 90's era joes.

Sorted army builder piles.

And finally have the army builders all cleaned up and off the floor. Still have to finish cleaning off the table. I hadn't planned to put these storage bins here but they fit perfectly next to the bookshelves along this wall and I didn't have to move them an inch. Was a perfect coincidence.

The drawers are sort by types of army builders and/ or specialties. Drawer 1 has Infantry and Specialists (Vipers & Night/Alley types). Drawer 2 has Drivers & Pilots. Drawer 3 has Environmental Specialists (Eels/Snow Serpent/Desert Scoprion types). Drawer 4 has Support Infantry (Night Watch/ TRU Trooper types). Drawer 5 has non-Cobra factions (Iron Grenadiers/ Head Hunter types). Drawer 6 has the vehicle parts.
