Your best option or Hope would be one of the "Lets Make a Deal" sessions at the Con... or somebody who was there... I know some of the 2004 Exclusive Vehicle parts showed up there this past year...but I can't say I saw much in the way of figures or accessories from that set.

I guess that's part of why I'm sort of glad not to have kids....

yeah, but i tell you what -- I'd be the guy striking the match to my whole collection for my kids ...

that being said ... I should enforce the 'shelf' toys vs. 'toybox toys' rule a little harder ...

this covers me too fairly precisely.

I want to protect the stuff I've worked hard on, but there are very few figures I don't let my 4-year old play with, and even then it's only if it's one of my nicer customs that I object. Everything else is fair game - in part because he asks before he grabs (from my desk, at least - he pilfers at will from the fodder bins, lol.

My son is two and is obsessed with GI Joe's, so much so my wife started a collection for him consisting of mostly newer stuff. He has his ROC Night Raven, Black Dragon, and Ghosthawk. He has some vintage items as well such as a Mobat and Battle Wagon. This last Christmas he got a really nice Tactical Battle Platform from Santa, but he let me hold on to the rifles for safe keeping. He's pretty much dismantled the TBP, but plays with it all the time. I gave him a bunch of JvsC and VvsV figures to play with.
All my toys are kept in the basement, and he's never down there alone mostly because its scary.

As for my nephews: they aren't allowed in the basement, let alone ever lay a hand on my toys. I've seen the way they treat their own toys, and I'll just say that my younger son treats his toys with more respect.

These stories do remind me of a tramatic time during my childhood when my mom had the brilliant idea to quit her job and start an in-home day care for all sorts of heathens and moral degenerates. Most of my toys were kept in my toy room, which the demon children were not allowed in but somehow they would find a way, and somehow a number of Joe's turned up missing. Some notable casualties included Pathfinder figure, which was one of my all time favorite Joe's; Undertow, Annihilator, Sonic Fighter Viper, and V1 Outback.

just when my story couldn't get any worse ...

it didn't!

I was going through some toys with my kids over the weekend, deciding what "we" were too old for. One of the things that didn't make the 'we love this' cut ... which made me  a little, due to the fact it had a custom replacement base ... was the old Fischer-Price Little People Garage (you know ... the one with the elevator + bell)

Anyway, as I was moving it to another part of the basement, also known as "goodwill pile", the stop signs all fell down, and out popped Hardtop's pistol.

I guess Corey didn't throw it in the swamp after all.

Makes me wonder how Hardtop went from the elevator shaft to the bathroom floor ...

Loved that FP Garage when I was a kid. Wish my dad hadn't chucked my old FP playsets (main street and such), they'd be good background props for my displays at the very least.

Glad to hear you found where Hardtop stashed his pistol, though I would run it now just to make sure it was used in an 1/18 scaled crimes. I mean why else woul someone ditch a hard to find weapon? :shifty:
