I'm all over the new troopers- the more the better. I do agree they need some better offerings when it comes to the gear. Use the 25th Stinger Driver Webgear and throw in a Viper backpack. I also think they need to dump the Draganov and go with some AKs or even a FAMAS.

I have a lot of the 25th version troopers and a few of the newer I guess you could say trooper. I would personally like a hazard viper/toxo zombie set

I think they could have some fun with repainting the toxo zombie and hazard viper. Could see them at least doing glow in the dark versions etc.

And yes you would all buy a Glow in the dark/translucent toxo zombie. Don't lie.

I could see them doing repaints of troopers in smaller 2-3 figure sets, but nothing like the larger TRU sets from around 2007-2008 or whenever those came out. Just doesn't make sense to do a multicolor run of each version of a trooper that comes out just to say they've done it. Don't get me wrong the POC/30th updates aren't bad, but don't seem different enough from the 25th ones to warrant it. And the 25th ones had a number of minor variations/upgrades on the regular trooper and viper to the point that I didn't want to army build the 30th/POC ones.

I won't lie. I'll buyl zero of them, not even the regular version of the zombie. I hope they sell a ton of them, but I have absolutely no interest (nor do I even understand the interest) in the zombie. Maybe it's just too far outside of my normal "play pattern" (or at least what it was when I was a kid) but I will not be gettting any of the zombie-vipers, glow in the dark or regular. Basically the same reason I have no interest in the Nano-Viper from the subscription service, it's the only one I have zero interest in.

You know, I've held the new (30th) trooper in my hand a bunch of times now, and I always end up putting it back on the shelf. To Jay's point, the old suspenders just don't work on him and it's never made sense to me that Cobra gives its front liners a sniper rifle and gives the Officer an AK.

However, if they were to redo the Web gear so it sits properly and has a functional holster for a back-up pistol, I'd definitely buy it. In fact, I'd buy multiples of a 7-pack if it contained the following:

1x 30th Viper body in medium gray
3x 30th Viper body in royal blue
3x 30th Trooper body in royal blue
3x re-done Trooper harnesses (classic look but longer) in black with functional chest holster
1x re-done Trooper harness (see above) with red accents
1x re-done Trooper harness (see above) with purple accents
1x re-done Officer harness (classic look) in black with removable binoculars
1x re-done Officer harness (see above) with red accents
3x re-done Viper vest (classic look but longer) in red and black with removable grenades
1x re-done Viper vest (see above) in black with silver/gold accents
    1x Tele-Viper vest in purple
    1x Tele-Viper belt
    3x Trooper helmets in blue
1x Trooper gasmask helmet in blue
    1x Officer helmet in blue
    1x Officer helmet in gray
4x Trooper heads with black masks and various skin tones
1x Trooper head with red mask
1x Trooper head with purple mask
3x chromed Viper heads in blue
1x metallic gold faced Viper head in gray
    1x Tele-Viper head
    3x Viper backpacks
    1x Tele-Viper backpack
1x Firefly/Doc toolkit backpack in blue
    1x Tele-Viper scanner
    4x AK-47s
    3x Viper rifles
    2x Skorpion submachine guns
    1x Sniper rifle
    1x RPG launcher
    Lots of pistols and knives

This probably reads like I'm asking for a lot, but it really only amounts to a few sets of alternate gear and some extra/alternate helmets and heads. By PoC standards that's not much gear per figure.

The beauty of this set is you could army build the way you want. Have enough Vipers? Make one a Tele-Viper and turn the others into specialized Troopers or Officers with the alternate gear.

I think a pack like this (or a big sale) is the only way I'd consider replacing my 25th Troopers and Vipers. And I think it would easily outsell the Maurauders 7-pack. Possibly even the Dreadnok set.

Oh yeah, I'd be in for a Trooper Army builder set. Want a good value set of LOTS of figures, weapons are not important. Also, would welcome several cool paint deco variations in an assortment. The same 3 to 6 figures, but available in "classic" blue, an "Urban" set (dark gray & light grey camo) & an "Elite Guard" version in black & dark gray details. .

While we're talking troop builders, would LOVE a Steel Brigade trooper set. Could go the same type of paint deco variation assortment. Have a "standard" color (maybe go the "gold head" sb paint color), a "night ops" team (black & dark gray), a "jungle ops" that has camo deco and maybe even desert (if that is not too tired).

Just give me LOTS of easy to find & less expensive army builders!

MJ

Given how much of the last waves of PoC are likely sitting unsold and how many army builders have been packed into the first few waves/revision cases of 30th I don't think getting cheap 30th style Troopers will be all that tough eventually. I expect to see PoC at discounters soon, I'm actually surprised we haven't already. Plus, with the movie on the way, Target at least should be marking down 30th by March or so to make room for Retaliation product. Which isn't to say you shouldn't support the line at full price now. It needs all the help it can get.
