Trekker's suggestion is the only way ti will work. They changed the canopy but didn't change the shape of the sticker to compensate. There was no rasied area on the original like that.

You know, I didn't think there was...

And now I know :ace:

Really I didn't know, neighbor had a vintage 'striker but I never did. Then again, still haven't tried putting stickers on yet.

SO what's the action on all those vehicles discarded in boxes due to imperfect sticker applications? You could sell some of those to buy new one to apply stickers too.

I toy in a box is a toy unused and unappreciated.

Be sure to let us know which method worked out for you, with some pics if you can.

(and let me know about those vehicles)

Thank You all very much for your suggestions and ideas, Trekker, I am going to try your method.

I attempted the soap method, but that little raised area really *really* does -- interfere

I really *need* it to work. I have 5 of these things just sitting there without stickers: #40, 41, 42, 5, +6. (Naturally had to leave off 5+6 until I discovered if I was going to succeed with either the black/ red, or if Gold/ black was to be resorted to.)

Although I must admit, the strictly grey, "no flair" look is actually really growing on me.

Also, SKYSTRIKER missing pieces:

Has anyone else bought a Skystriker and discovered it had no hull?

Thanks again. I really appreciate it. And hello to you too, JoeMicheals.

It had "no hull?" I'm sorry my good sir, but I can't even imagine what part you are talking about. But yes, I've got two planes, one came without the two vertical stabilizers.

I have heard a few reports of missing parts, but mine was complete. The only complaint I can make about my SkyStriker is that the missiles don't stay put all that well. But I have a couple of planes I can say that about, so -- no big deal.

Hope my suggestion works out for you! Glad I could help.
