While I agree that all this talk of FLAGG or Terrordrome rereleases is just frivolous nonsense talk, I was sort of interested to learn how the Pit playset i doing in other people's areas. at the Target I work at, we've sold out of the thing twice now, and I've noticed it moving at some of the other Targets as well. Better than that Turbo Tank has been selling anyway. Just my observation.

Its actually pretty abundant in the Targets in the Boston area, however, the recent markdown to 50 bucks may have cleared them out for christmas.

there were none in the greater Boston area TRUs though...

The Pit is sold out in my area. I was surprised, but lowering the price help a ton I'm sure.

While I wouldn't mind seeing Hasbro redo the Flagg or TerrDrome, I'd much rather see a remake. Do it like some of the new vehicles. Not just rerelease them with pegs changes and such but totally revamp them. Really I think that's more of what people are asking for. Something that's compatible with the 25th Anniversary stuff. People that want them for their RAH collection can just get the original and probably would prefer it.

I could see a TerrorDrome being redone and sold as a "movie" item. It could have most of the stuff straight from the original but some added detailing. I think that would be a safer bet seeing first being that the convention had that slide showing the name even. I know everyone said Hasbro clarified that the TerrorDrome wasn't coming out, but I could see it that they might have meant to make an announcement but things were not quite ready yet so they had to gloss over the image. A Flagg though, maybe since it was in the movie... I could see it happening but maybe not until the cartoon is ready.

Well remeber that in the Star Wars Q&A someone asked about them about using the original Joe HQ for a Clone Wars base, Hasbro said no, but how about the Terrordrome? So we might see an updated Terrordrome in Star Wars form. As for the Flagg, our best bet will be with the Battleship movie that is coming out. I can see Hasbro doing 3 3/4" figures and possible bridge playsets for it.

Well, I know that they won't ever redo the original Flagg, but I could see them redoing something and calling it The USS Flagg. They've demonstrated the they will not hesitate whatsoever to reuse names. Something the size of the Pitt or AT-TE or Turbo Tank, and call it an amphibious assault sub or some kind of landing craft. The front could open up like the ass end of the AT-TE.

Also, for those that think that the PITT was a bomb, it's sold well here, even before the price drops, and it's flown off the shelves since them. Also, a lot of Star Wars fans swore that the BMF and the AT-TE killed premium sized toy playsets because they didn't seem to be moving, yet they sold through and have been reissued. I know, I know, Star Wars is "a much bigger brand," but they sold well enough that they made the Pitt for the Joe Line.

Oh and I've never seen a BMF on clearance.

Yep, that's pretty much what I'd have to say. I can see it very possible to remake something that they'll name the USS Flagg. You can do a lot with flat sheets of plastic and make it look like more than it is. Same with a TerrorDrome.

The BMF started at $150, and it's still that at TRU, which seems to be the only place left even kind of carrying them.

Wal-Mart dropped them to $100 before Black Friday. Last year, in the couple weeks before Christmas, most Wal-Marts (but certainly not all) clearanced them for $75 (less at some Walmarts). A couple months ago TRU had them for $75 as a sale.

Oh I've seen the BMF on clearance but not at a price that I could afford.

You know what? Then they will just repaint a PIT gray & rename it USS Flagg!
