Like I said, I've been cashing in on the K-mart sale... and just fell in love with the Desert Viper. Thing is, one of them I picked up has some.... CRUD.... on his backpack... it looks icky...

Any suggestions on what to do with this? Any special way to wash it off? Or should I just take it back for more fodder?

This sort of thing has turned up on action figures from time to time. Reasonably sure it's harmless. Should clean off well with mild soap and water, or if it's stubborn, alcohol (provided the pack doesn't have any paint on it that the alcohol might also remove). Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to wash your hands after you clean it, though... ;-)

(PS - This is the first I've heard of a Desert-Viper. Okay, so I don't pay that close attention to the individual movie-based figures. More into the vehicles these days. Is he a K-Mart exclusive or just part of an assortment that I haven't otherwise seen yet?)

Okay, I don't think I've seen any PURSUIT of Cobra stuff around here yet, and if it's hitting K-Mart first for some strange reason, it may be a while. There's onle one K-Mart left in this town, and it's clear ACROSS town, and generally not worth the trip. :-/

A quick note on that mysterious -- substance. I think I remember hearing it addressed in one of the toy magazines years ago. Somebody found it on their MOC Super Powers Flash figure. Not even the magazine personnel knew what it was. I think they said something like, "Harmless residue, or the Andromeda Strain?" 8-O

Dude! Don't you read Spiderman? Peter Parker found some black goo and turned out to be a symbiot(?)...that could be your "Venom." Cool at first, just don't let it take over your mind, then the suck begins.
