This is, obviously, a highly subjective topic.

But as much as I adore the Rise of Cobra line over the 25th Anniversary in general... there are some things I'd love to see Hasbro do.

Proper 88 Storm Shadow: Using the Cobra Ninja Viper assembly (with Duke's arms and CP Storm Shadow's lower legs), replacing the kusari-gama with Hard Master's bow and arrow, and Alpine's rope belt. Against the flow, Storm Shadow ranks as one of my favorite characters in GIJoe, and I'd love to see his definitive good-guy look made properly.

Jinx: Bonus points for original tooling and separate unmasked head.

"91" Snake-Eyes: Dropping the obnoxious bright blue, but I'd love to see this version done in this style.

HEAT-Viper: Hasbro has his missile launcher retooled as an actual, springloaded launcher. It'd be a shame not to put it to use properly.

Cover Girl: Sure, we got her in ROC-style, but I myself would love to get the brunette with the leather jacket as well.

What about you guys?

There are a few, that I consider must have's. Most of them fall no later than '87 except for cobra's.

-proper leatherneck
-airtight
-lowlight
-zandar
-zarana
-heat/night/toxo viper
-proper law n order
-blizzard
-91 snake eyes
-proper dial tone
-proper footloose
-annhilator
-targat
-rock n roll v2

that almost covers it for me. I'm sure there are a couple more that would look great, but those were some of my favorites as a youngster.

I'd wager it's because since Flash and Grand Slam used the exact same tooling (right down to the head) until Rise of Cobra, it would've made them way too identical.

There are plenty of figure that still need done.

-Oktober Guard: Colonel Brekhov, Schrage, Stormavik, Horrorshow, Daina, Dragonsky, Sgt Misha, Big Bear, Lt Gorky (proper black uniform), Volga, Wong, Ruslan, etc...

I would also include:
1997 Colonel Brekhov (green), 1997 Lt Gorky (gray), Mail Away Big Bear (black) as new characters or a 3 pack (like the SRO ones from TRU) of generic troopers.

-Dreadnoks: Thrasher, Zanzibar, Road Pig, Gnawgahyde, Demolisher, Crusher, Burn Out, Machete, Heartwrencher, Rug Rat, Chop Shop, maybe even the Dreadheads

-DDP Creations: Zanya, Mariner, Mayday, Vorona, Raptor-Vipers, etc

-IDW Creations: Brainstorm, Six Pack, etc

-Big Brawler
-Bombstrike
-Renegades: Mercer, Taurus, Red Dog
-Claymore

Maybe it would be easier to just copy the list from yojoe and then strike out all the ones that have been made already?

I could so see a Night-Viper/ Low-Light comic pack being made if 25th kept on going.

I've become a bit disechanted with the modern-era recently. Don't get me wrong, 25 years of improved tooling/sculpting really makes an impressive display but my collection is forever incomplete as long as ROC (and eventually ROC2) is Hasbro's focus.

Doesn't look like we'll ever get a complete cast of '85 - the fact that Footloose and Airtight are missing in my display feels like I'm missing my two prodical sons.

'86 Cobras and Joes should all be made...but we're missing huge gaps.

'87 - '94 had some great character designs that I'd love to see in 25th style.

Personally I can't get into the ROC figures, all the "vipers" are too similar, everything is a shade of black (minus the metallic crimson ones), it's like Hasbro zapped the colour out of G.I. Joe - again personal opinion, but I was never into heavy military realism with Joe anyways.

With the dry well of 25th figs and the lackluster of ROC figs, my collecting has all but died recently.
