Sometimes inspiration comes from nowhere. I was simply piecing parts together one day and thought, "Cyborg Cobra Commander!" The BAT arms were actually what made this custom happen. The rest just flowed from there. The concept took over and the parts came together. The jetpack was the capstone, while the forearm pistols are just extra bells and whistles. Definitely one of favorite customs to date.

The story behind Cobra Commander being a Decepticon, basically, is that he is a cyborg slave to Megatron. Think back to the late run of the Marvel issues when Megatron totally crosses Cobra Commander on the Cybertronian technology deal. Instead of leaving, imagine if Megatron had taken Cobra Commander and 'changed' him to do his bidding.

As for the colors, they match those of the Star Brigade Cobra Commander, which I have a special place for.
I do have several ideas for other Decepticobras, but I also have a lot of other figures on my plate, including the ROC Ghost!

Aw, man, I forgot about how awesome this one was. That is such an exceptional piece of work. On every single level. That is a figure so well made and conceptualized, I would pay SDCC exclusive retail price for it.

I had forgotten about this one as well. It has a S6 vs TF feel to it. Excellent parts choices.

The wrist mounted guns still make me crack a smile. Great use of parts for that. Plus the concept for this figure is so cool.

Ya know this may sound almost a bit kiss ass but this custom is in my top 5 favorites. It falls in to these categories I look for when I see a custom, character, color and originality. Cobra Commander is one of my favorite characters of all time, the colors are vibrant and go together so well and it just seems like such an original parts choice it strikes the right cord with me.
