CC4:D7 - Create a TRU-style 5 or 6 Pack #7

This is kind of like virtual customizing. Here's the "game":

- Each day I'll post the name for a new G.I.Joe Toys R Us-style ARAH/New Sculpt 6 pack or 25th style 5 pack.
- Based off of the name, you decide which faction it is and what figures would be included in the set.
- Post the names of the figures and the parts that would be used for each.
- Let's try to keep this as realistic as possible. Thus, don't have more than one "new" piece on the parts lists. Stick with existing molds.
- Try to only use parts that we know that Hasbro has.
- For ARAH, I suppose you could list a balljoint head for a straight head torso (since they did mod one in the GreenShirt set).
- Feel free to list what colors characters would be.

Today's name is: Robot Rebellion

Robot Rebellion

G.I. Joe have secretly captured a number of BATS, reprogrammed them and sent them to Cobra Island to cause havoc.

G.I. Joe assign Hi-Tech and Sgt. Hacker to reprogram the captured BATS so they only target Cobra installations, vehicles and robots.

Hi-Tech - Same head, but a uniform of basic green overalls.

Sgt. Hacker - Same head, but a uniform of basic green overalls.

2 G.I. Joe BATS - When battling Cobra, they would be indistinguishable from the Cobra BATS. But when being stored at a G.I. Joe base, they would be stored in a secure metal case, while some BATS have been painted to match G.I. Joe camouflage patterns and adorned with the G.I. Joe logo when used in other non-Cobra operations.

Cobra decide they need a robot-killing robot, to stop the Robot Rebellion they are afflicted by, and Dr Mindbender orders Hotwire to create a better BAAT with bigger weapons and increased electronic sophistication.

Hotwire - Wearing a bright orange mechanic's uniform.

Super BAAT - Targeting equipment added to right shoulder, various weapons added as well, and painted in black and green.

I like Mr. Arashikage's idea of reprogrammed BATs working for G.I.Joe, but I think I'm going to take this in a bit more of a "Terminator" direction.

Fed up with less-than-intelligent BATs shooting at everything that moves, including Cobra troopers, Dr. Mindbender develops a new AI chip to increase the intelligence of Cobra's BAT forces. Unfortunately, the chip works too well, enabling the BATs to communicate electronically with each other over long distances, and giving them far too much independent thought. They begin to see all organic human life as the enemy, and start a rebellion against Cobra, against G.I.Joe, indeed, against all of humanity!

This set wouldn't necessarily be restricted to ARAH, since I tend to be a little more accommodating to BATs, format-wise, since they're robots.

Set could include:

25th-style BAT - seen as a "return to basics" but also an upgrade over the original design, these are probably the most dangerous BATs of all, since they were the first to receive the AI chips, since it was built in to their design in the first place, and they have the fewest programming faults. Color scheme similar to the Resolute model, although I'd probably want to do a lenticular chestplate.

Armor-Tech BAAT - Now reassigned as a Heavy Combat BAT. Slower and less mobile, but it can take just about any sort of punishment heavy artillery can dish out.

BAT v.2 - Molded this time around in transparent blue plastic (rather than the transparent red of the Inferno BAT), this specialized model is a recent modification of the BAT v.2 for underwater and arctic environments.

BAT v.3 - Taller and leaner than most BAT models, yet with heavier weaponry, these would be the "infantry" of the new BAT forces. Two of these would come with the set, one painted with metallic blue and purple trim, initially intended as a stealth model, the other painted with metallic red and silver trim, originally intended for use by the Crimson Guard (see my actual customs of these! - cheap plug)

BAT v.5 - One of the most durable and yet peculiar of the BAT models, this version can quickly trade off damaged parts with other like models. These are designated for high risk and heavy combat operations.

The Robot Rebellion has begun!

I'm doing this one as a 25th/RoC style pack.

BACK OF BOX BLURB: Overkill has risen by force with a series of new-model B.A.T.s and taken over Cobra. Can the Joe team stop this mechanical menace before it's too late?

Overkill: Cobrat Trooper v1 head, Zartan v1 torso, Battle Armored Cobra Commander arms (the right arm will have a B.A.T. lower arm for interchangable parts), Battle Armored Cobra Commander legs. Paint him similarly to the VvV Overkill with a turquoise under-armor base and gunmetal grey colored metal parts. Equip him with the B.A.T. v1 claw arm and laser blaster attachment, Comic Pack Beachhead scarf, and Resolute Cobra Trooper helmet

Heavy Assault Android Trooper (H.A.A.T.): Helmeted Cobra Commander head (in red chrome), Reactive Armor Heavy Duty torso, Accelerator Suity Ripcord arms and legs. Paint the base body in black with yellow highlights. Equip it with a Range Viper helmet (to give it the look of the heavy machine gun Terminator model from the newest movie) and Reactive Armor Heavy Duty's chaingun and backpack (minus the HD logo on the back)

Aerial Android Trooper (A.A.T.): AVAC head, Reactive Armor Duke body. Paint the body in a black base with dark blue trim. Equip it with a RoC Hawk jetpack, Alley Viper machine gun and Neo-Viper pulse rifle.

Stealth Android Trooper (S.A.T): Wraith head, torso and arms, Battle Armored Cobra Commander legs. Mold the entire figure in translucent black and remove any facial detailing, paint the eyes flourescent green. Equip it with the Wraith mask and forearm guns (minus the fragile hoses), a Neo-Viper vest and a RoC Storm Shadow sword

Bodyguard Battle Android Trooper (B.B.A.T.): New Sculpt head, Accelerator Suit Ripcord torso, Battle Armored Cobra Commander arms and legs. Paint the body like Overkill to match. Equip it with Rex "The Doctor" Lewis' mechanical hands and PP Baroness' silenced Uzi.

Battle Android Trooper (B.A.T.): Use the full B.A.T. v1 mold. Paint the visor red and the trim in Overkill turquoise. Equip it with the exact same accessories of v1.

Ooooh, what fun!

ROC/POC-style 5-pack

Overkill: Rex head (with a nice, 03-reminiscent "undead" skin tone), ROC Cobra Commander torso, 25th Devil's Due Zartan upper arms, BAT lower arms and weapons, HISS Driver legs, Pilot Destro chestplate and scarf, Resolute Cobra Trooper helmet, Neo-Viper scoped pulse rifle and pistol.

BAT x2: 25th BAT head, lower arms and weapons, 25th Armored Cobra Commander torso, upper arms, lower legs and belt, 25th Zartan upper legs.

Sky BAT: 25th BAT head, 25th Armored Cobra Commander torso, arms, lower legs and belt, 25th Zartan upper legs, Cobra Air Trooper jetpack, flame exhaust, hose and flight gun, ROC Accelerator Suit wrist gatling gun.

Ninja BAT: 25th BAT head, torso, upper arms, upper legs and belt, Mercenary Wraith lower arms and lower legs, Viper Commando pistol, ROC Kamakura gear.

Robot Rebellion

This set would be using both 25th and DTC molds, since I don’t mind the mixing of B.A.T.s. The premise would be Overkill turning on Cobra, fighting against all non-mechanical life. Joes and Cobras alike are suddenly being targetted as the greatest threats to Overkill's new world order. As a result, both sides must forge a truce in order to halt the greatest threat against all humanity. It would be broken down into two sets, Robots in one, and a joint Joe/Cobra task force in the other.

ROBOTS

Overkill: Overkill v.6 head, torso and waist (modified with 25th leg pins). Overkill v.6 arms, modified with added swivel articulation. 25th Serpentor legs. Overlord’s flesh would be painted in a pale flesh tone with gray shading around the eyes and edges where metal meets it. The rest of his body would be done in a metallic bronze with gunmetal blue and silver accents. The “bird” shaped details on the mold’s chest are painted metallic black.

B.A.T.s X2: 25th B.A.T.s in their entirety. The base black remains the same, but the exposed mechanics are the same bronze color as Overkill, and the yellow accents are replaced with gunmetal blue. The faceplates are bronze. Their backpacks and replacement arm weapons are bronze.

AirB.A.T.: D.T.C. B.A.T.s with arms modified with swivel articulation. R.o.C. General Hawk jetpack. The base color is gunmetal blue with bronze accents.

B.A.A.T: 25th Viper head, minus goggles, Accelerator Duke torso, legs, right arm and upper left arm, B.A.T. lower left arm, newly sculpted gatlin gun arm attachment with ammo belt and ammo pack. Base color is flat black with bronze accents.

Joint Strike Team

High Tech: 25th modified High Tech head, R.o.C single pack General Hawk torso and legs, SE v.34 arms with pouches instead of grenades/shuriken, Pit Commando TAC vest. The roving drone used in the 08 convention set with Longarm, R.o.C. laptop, MP5. Uniform painted in jungle camo with black accents, boots and webgear.

Hard Drive: Pit Commando head and cap, Snow Job Torso, Resolute Trooper legs, 25th General Hawk v.2 arms. A newly sculpted removable wrist computer, R.o.C. laptop, newly sculpted belt with two holsters, two 9 mm pistols. Uniform painted jungle camo with black accents, web gear and boots.

Mainframe: All 25th Mainframe and gear. Uniform painted in jungle camo with black accents, boots and web gear. Equipment painted in black.

Hotwire: R.o.C. Rex body with a newly sculpted head. White lab coat, Cobra blue shirt and legs, black shoes.

Doctor Mindbender: R.o.C Storm Shadow (ninja merc) torso, arms and “skirt”, 7 pack Mindbender head and legs. White lab coat, purple pants and black boots.
