That is great news, and is not a hi-jack at all. Kohls here is much more up to date than target. Did you have to bring a receipt with you? I assume you had to have a manager on hand?

I've pricematched in the past at Kohls, and the cashier can do it without a manager present. Typically they want to see a store ad, which in this case you wouldn't have, but I've heard of some cashiers matching based on a receipt from another store, some based on nothing more than you asking if they'd match the Target $5.99 price.

That's exactly the results I had. I just asked the cashier if they price-matched, and she said yes and did it. If she had said I needed a receipt, I was going to walk over to Target across the street and buy a figure to have the receipt and then return it after the price-match.

During the TRU 2 for $10 sale I also got a pricematch at Kohl's. However they did want the ad & they even kept it. I printed the ad from the online one. I'm sure it wouldn't work now unless I have some proof. My Target is also a neighbor of Kohl's.
