I was at TJ Maxx today and saw that they had the TRU Exclusive Hulk Epic Tunnel Clash (the one that comes with three Joe-mold hulk busters with Steel Brigade helmets) for $10 a set. I assume the other discount stores that get stuff in the same time as TJ Maxx (Ross, for instance) would also have it. Just thought I'd give a heads up, since TRU.com is still trying to sell it for $20.

What a coincidence, I saw some of these at Marshalls today. I picked up three of the TRU Iron Grenadier sets for $10 each when I was there. Still need to get a Hulkbuster squad set, though.

yep, I got that set, and the sets that Siege referenced all at TJ Maxx for $9.99 a pop. The Hulk set I wasn't sure I wanted, but you're right TRU has it "clearanced" for much higher. Heck, my TRU has it clearanced for $24.99. lol. Just like some of the Indy vehicles are clearanced still for $34.99.

Anyway, I stole the helmets from the Hulkbusters for my customs, then I replaced the generic heads with other NewSculpt heads I had lying around, and now my son has a new mini-squad of Joes to join the ranks of his other newsculpt figs. (Eventually he will get a ton of 25th figs I've been saving for him, but he's not yet 3 so I give him the older joes, without any of the smaller parts and weapons for now).

I saw four sets on Saturday. I like the design of the Hulkbusters and will probably use them as Steel Brigade troopers (replacing the ones from the Plague set).

I grabbed the last Destro/IG 3pack and was disappointed to discover the other Cutter sets were gone.

They also had Star Wars Legends figures for $3.99 (General McQuarrie, Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper, Imp Officer, Biker Scout).

Shameless plug: I actually have an Epic Tunnel clash set, Hulkbuster 2pack, and Hulkbuster guy w/ kicking Hulk for sale, if anybody wants them, make me an offer.

The figures are nice enough, but I'm trying to downsize, and I just don't see them fitting in with my collection as I move forward. Oddly enough, when I did get to go to the 2008 Convention, I asked the Hasbro folks if they had any other toy lines that were going to use old Joe molds. They told me no, and then I think the last of the Hulkbuster sets came out.
