Does anyone know if Larry Hama wrote the Cobra-La filecards? They came out in 87 when he was still writing filecards (Except for Crystal Ball's which was supposedly written by Steven King) so it would make sense that he wrote them, but I know he detests the concept so I wonder if maybe some anonymous copy writer was given the job.

Does anyone have any insight?

I don't have any concrete info, but I would think he did for 2 reasons. First, his contract may not have let him say 'no' just because he didn't like a particular figure. Second, the writing style is very 'Hama'.

But maybe someone knows for sure?

VL,

I remember asking him about this at a con and he stated that he did write the Cobra-La filecards but never created the characters. Essentially, they came down somewhere from the Big H.

This was further supported when I later read an interview where he also confirmed about writing the cards even though he wasn't too keen on the concept.

I've always believed that Hama wrote the file cards, even though he wasn't fond of the concept and never used it in the comics. There was simply too much history worked into the text, and the overall style of the writing, for them NOT to have been from Larry.

I wonder what he would have had to say about Pythona?

Thanks everyone.

I too was pretty sure he wrote them (The writing style is SO Hama) and I think I remember reading somewhere that he did, but I couldn't find any information to support that.

Now I know!
