So I got this figure. I'm not sure what the torso is from, but I know for a fact it was not originaly intended for the figure I have. It is definatly from a different (guessing older) line. I'm also not sure where the waist comes from. The torso is damn close to a V1 Viper's but the sholder pads are shorter and longer and it lacks granades. Also the version that I have has straps painted on it that don't match the mold, so to try to ignor the colors. If anybody knows anything I'd love to hear it.

Looks like a Power Commando torso.

Good catch, I totaly missed those.

That makes this figure all the more interesting since it is not a power commando, and was not produced for the US market.

I hate you Troy.

Yes those are Power Commando molds. Which in turn were modified from the Viper sculpt.

Now if only I knew somebody with skills who could cast that for me :shifty:

I would cast the hell out of those torsos if I could get my hands on them.

Really...if you have any other Power Commandos that you would be willing to part with, please let me know.

I for one, would very much like to NOT have a casting of Viperlord made...

I could be wrong...but I don't think power commando's were produced for the US market...at least I've not heard of anybody finding any from a domestic source.

Pete Hubner made a nice post over on Yojoe.com at some point about the Power Commandos....it gathers all the information quite nicely.

Power Commandos are some of the nicest knock off Joe figures even made. They use GI Joe sculpts all "tweaked" in some way. I have a set of Power Commando Viper Lower/Zartan Upper arms, an Eel chest (Sadly broken), a set of Viper legs, and a really badly destroyed CG Head.

Sadly they seem to be as rare as hen teeth. I've been looking for some about for about 5 years with no luck. I'd love to see nearly every part cast and made widely available, but I'll take anything I can get.

Heh, if they're cast would that make them a bootleg of a bootleg?

I found one used, but I live near Canada. There's a lot of knock-offs that you don't see much. Even those Remco American Defense guys once available everywhere in the late 80's/early 90's aren't that common on ebay.
