I went with the blindingly obvious in my opinion, Crystal Ball, but let's face it, Cobra hired SEVERAL pretty strange people in 1987, between CB, Big Boa, Raptor, and Croc Master, who was probably the best of the lot.
But Crystal Ball? Come on -- the red eyes, and his specialty -- a HYPNOTIST!? With a big spinning disc!? YEESH! About the only good thing I can say about the figure was that the raised styling on the shirt was painted neatly, and probably wasn't an especially easy paint stencil to create.
But I have to ask -- where was Cobra-La on this list? Because Crystal Ball would've been readily bumped to second place in favor of NEMESIS ENFORCER! Good grief what a pathetic figure relative to his animated likeness. Nemesis Enforcer was a HUGE and menacing-looking individual in the movie. The figure was actually SHORTER than most, and had a terribly dull expression on his face.
As little as I am into the 25th-style figures, I was still VERY pleased to purchase the comic set that included the "Nemesis Immortal" figure, which at least had the size and look to make him the menace he was in the movie -- and I'm convinced that the pathetic-ness of the original figure is about the only reason Hasbro turned out the second one, even in the different format, for which I am thankful to them.
Um... what he said.
