inside cover most early marvel runs had it to where it was a reprint. ie look for a v2 or second printing blurb.

The price will also be higher on a second print book, Maybe 75 cents vs. 60

The second (or third) printing line will be in a different font at the bottom of the first page...It should be very obvious. Good luck. :-)

I think the easisest way is to look in the back. If there is a back-up story called 'Hot Potatoe', then it is probably a first print. To the best of my knowledge, the early comics never went to second printings, just later reprints under titles like 'Tales of GI Joe' and the comic packs.

Right the price is more its $1.50 vs. 60 cents for the other issues I have. But I've searched for images of it online and every one has $1.50 too. And the image of the cover in the trade has $1.50. So I'm still confused. Was the original $1.50 or not?

It does have the "Hot Potatoe" story. And it has "weapons profiles" for the Mobat and the Vamp in the back.

Oops. That is right. That particular issue was 1.50 beacause it was thicker and such, and has a heavier almost card stock cover. Looks like you have a first.

Check the ads within the comic. 1982 ads tend to be in the first print.

Issue #2 was easiest the most expensive First Print, back in the day. It quickly went to at least a Second Printing, with the first printing bringing $80-$100 mint in the early to mid-eighties. Without eBay, internet, or many other resources we enjoy now, it was very difficult to obtain #2 First Print unless you happened to get it the first time around.
