With the barrel of the cannon pushed in like it is in the picture it sort of reminds me of some of light tanks Cobra had in an episode of the cartoon. If I run across any of them in the store I'm really tempted to get one to see what it would look like repainted black with some Cobra stickers added. It might make for something more armored looking than the HISS without looking like a repaint of the Joe tanks.

I was thinking the same thing. The small size doesn't bother me since a group like Cobra would want smaller vehicles they could conceal easier to get them in place for an attack.

Is the "Dire Wolf" really suppose to be based on the Stingray?

I guess I just don't really see much, if any, similarity in the designs.

The Lanard Merkava looked quite a bit like a Merkava.
To me though, these two seem to have completely different body and turret designs.





The body on the toy looks completely different, and more closely resembles a Bradley, rather than the Stingray.

If you actually see the toy in person, it largely resembles the Stingray, the gun barrel is shorter but if you see the body and turrets, the armor slopes and curves in the same places as the Stinger, it just doesn't show really in the pictures. The reason it resembles a bradley is because it's not accurately scaled and it incoporates some elements of the FMC XM8 Armoured Gun System
