He's got the different (textured, not smooth) torso and a different head. The head is alot better.
I think his lower legs are different as well. the have that holster on the boot.

I am not going to get one for myself, it's not that big a difference....


All of these are for Madman up in Canada. Poor guy has no Target. For one night, he is the most envied Canadian in all the northern hemisphere.

Normally I don't mind since I don't collect too many toy lines, but with joes, yeah it hurts since there is so much goodness!!!!

How many different (and in what quantities) missiles/bombs does the C.L.A.W. come with?

looks like 2 fang bombs, 4 fang missles, two toehr missles I can't identify, and 4 little missles, that kind of look like the ones that came with the S.L.A.M. back in the day.

I saw the exclusives today, but only grabbed Grand Slam with Air Assault Glider. I passed on the first Grand Slam because I didn't want a repainted SHARC. I'm glad I did, because this one rocks. The glider is cool in its new paint job, and you can apply about six stickers on it. I don't have the Spy Troops one anymore, so I don't know if anything's changed other than the tabs that connect the wings, but they left the peg holes on the top from the original ST feature. Back to Grand Slam- did I mention he rocks? Seriously, the helmet actually fits the head; the joints are nice and tight unlike my Flash which used mostly the same mold; and the green is neat, but that metallic blue is starting to wear thin. I hate when Hasbro applies a color theme to its lines (Allspark movie TFs, I'm looking at you). A little silver paint will fix him up nicely. The gun is kind of goofy still after all these years, but I'll hopefully get him fitted out with a full JUMP pack with control soon. In the meantime he's got the best of the 80's Duke pack and the little grenade launcher or shotgun (whatever it is) that the Pit Commando comes with.

Say, are the exclusives going to be on sale when Target has its big sale this weekend?

I thought it was a shotgun; I just wasn't 100% sure if that's what Hasbro was going for. I used to use it from time to time on Rainbow 6: Rogue Spear and Raven Shield.

I think they made it out of scale. I wish MJ would make one, you know he'd give it a removable drum.

I saw these in Target over the weekend, shockingly, and picked up the one with the AVAC that isn't named AVAC. The new glider looks a lot cooler when you actually have all these different missiles to put on it. Also, the color scheme on AVAC is incredibly weird. It's almost a metallic green on lavender, but it looks really cool in person. Resolute Trooper arms and Zartan legs make the figure look really cool. The Firebat AVAC is at my apartment at school right now, so I think these are different legs. If they aren't, then it's just the color scheme making them look cool. Also...comes with a stand. That's a huge plus for people who display them and find it annoying when there's one or two figures who don't have their own stands.

I got the eel, grand slam and snake eyes ones the other day but passed on the other

I picked up 3 of them today. No Snake Eyes pack in store, but no big deal there. I'll find him later and really am only getting him due to my Snake Eyes fanboy thing. I want 1 or 2 more Eels and AVACs.

Picked up an Eel today, since I missedout on the 25th ann one.... it is really a neat little adapation on theTorpedo body. They retooled only the foot pegs on the body of the jetski and not the ones on the platform in the back, so I guess you could mix and match your Joes....

At the site that shall not be named there are rumors that Target is having a sale to coincide with the movie release. A poster claiming to be a Target employee says that a sale is in the works.
They also have a pic of the TRU flyer showing that TRU will also have another round of 2 for 9.99 starting this weekend, possibly to compete with Target, probably also timed to coincide with the movie release. edit: Oh, apparently there's a $10 gift card with purchase of $30 or more.
