The GI Joe toy commercials show Tatum-Duke flying a GI Joe version of the firebat in grey paint scheme. But I haven't seen any pics on the boards of this. Am I seeing things?

We haven't seen finished product shots but these pre-prod pics did show up. Pic courtesy of the Terrordrome.

It's called the Sky Sweeper, and it comes with a pilot who carries over a popular Transformer's name, Air Raid:

Thanks Jin!

I'm going to have to pick up a couple of those. I don't know why I like it as a Joe Jet but I do.

It should be showing up at SDCC this weekend. I didn't care much for a baby blue repainted Firebat masquerading as a Joe vehicle before so I never took even a close look at the boxed pic. BUT finding out about the skis on the wings, well now I'm really intrigued by it.

I love this thing, it is possibly my most anticipated item from ROC.

Standing offer: Anybody who does not want theirs after they pull out the figure, I wll buy it.

Wasn't the Firebat blue/grey in some of the cartoon eps? I seem to remember the one in "Lights Camera Cobra!" being that color. Even if it isn't intentional, I still think it's a pretty cool coincidence.

Yep, I think its first appearance(s) it was bluish. This will be a Cobra vehicle for me anyway.

My sentiments exactly.

Maybe they lost the rights to Barrel Roll?
