Origins is becoming an ongoing and Cobra gets a Special due in August.

I'm excited to see that Larry Hama is getting a regular writing gig with the Joes and the Origins issues so far have been pretty good.

Not sure how I'll feel about the Cobra Special until I guess the Cobra mini ends. If it leaves me wanting more then this is a good thing. If not then well ...

Interesting. As of right now, I'm glad about the Cobra one. I have the second issue sitting here and just haven't had a chance to read it yet but absolutely loved the first issue. Far better than anything in Origins or the main title so far.

GI Joe: Cobra is the first title comic since Identity Crisis that I've actually been picking up in the store. I got the first two issues this weekend, and they are FREAKING AWESOME.

Sorry, but I gotta dissagree on the Cobra title... I know they are trying to do a slow build introducing Cobra, but if you are going to name a title for them I feel you sholud show some of Cobra in it. As of now, it should be called Chuckles Humps Anyone With Yappers.

The main title is toooooo close to the Sunbow cartoon, plus it's taken a 1-issue story from the original comic, and is stretching it into 4-or-more issues. And I'm going to start a drinking game, where everytime a Joe says 'bro', you take a shot. You'll be drunker than Paula Abdul.

Origins is where it's at. The Chimera is downright disturbing. But it looks like Dixon is going to be writting for this series too. Ugh.

I'm also backing Cobra as the title to get. It's exciting in ways GI Joe never has, is dealing with stuff I always wondered about what undercover agents are allowed to do, and it's made Tomax and Xamot the most interesting they have ever been.

The PITT is killing the main Joe title. Get the Joes out and about, have adventures else where, stop having them fight robot spiders, things should get better. I hope.

Seriously. After GI Joe #0, I was so excited for the main line. A nice espionage story with a strong selection of characters that set up the main plot: Who, or what, is Cobra? Followed by three issues of mostly the same few characters walking around the PITT. Instead of the Joes trying to figure out what Cobra is, Destro is trying to figure out what GI Joe is. And that stupid Mary Sue character is hogging the glory.

I don't understand. It has the best art of the three titles and, with respect to Larry Hama, the biggest writer of the three. And yet it's an also ran instead of a front runner.
