A payoff and some negotiations, but I've finally rescued Doc!!!

I know right?

So I sent my stuff in for Doc back in August right before the deadline...around the time when everyone was talking they might not have enough to meet orders. "Whatever" I think and go about my business.

Fast forward to last week. I'm scouring the internet for any possible means to get an 25th Alpine and Doc pops up in some of my searches. I wonder to myself if Hasbro ever cashed my check. I go check my online banking...and they did...back in NOVEMBER!!! 6-8 weeks should have put my Doc arriving home in January or so.

So I email Hasbro back a forth a few times, send a copy of my cashed check to them, and Yesterday I got my figure in a hand addressed envelope no less.

Pretty sweet...though I still don't have an Alpine.

Anyway, thought I'd share my story for anyone else out there who might have sent in their order form and not gotten anything yet. See if they cashed your check and then send them an e-mail.

Morris

See, for all the bad press Hasbro gets, they're really not some evil empire out to steal our money and kick us in the nads. Glad this story had a happy ending for you, but equally glad that Doc's been rescued, and is able to join your Joe team.

Hope Alpine follows shortly.

Lucky, I wish I would have used a check :( I canceled my checks after finding a box they were in opened in the garage after I moved, I got paranoid and called my bank and I didn't order any more. So I used a money order...pretty sure I misplaced the receipt not thinking I would need it and I never got my Doc. Thankfully I'm in the works to get one! Good luck on your search for Alpine I finally found a buy now auction on ebay for the whole pack, under $40 too with shipping. Which is more than I would have liked to buy it for but cheaper than most prices. If you use ebay try alternate search options, I looked up just straight gi joe dvd pack, the auction had no mention of alpine or it being number 5 just wave 3 of the dvd packs.

Hostage negotiations do take time so I'm glad you finally rescued your Doc. Just proves that no matter how much crap we give Hasbro, they do try to come through for us. Might not be as fast as we'd like or in the way we want but they do try.
