Does the new Joe logo for the movie remind anyone else of Eagle Force. I can see these movie characters being a second team in my collection and a cool update to the old Eagle Force idea (without the gold jumpsuits).
For anyone that doesn't remember Eagle Force you can find out about them here:

I used to love Eagle Force. $.25 got you a pretty cool little solid figure, and an accessory or two. I wouldn't mind seeing some customs of the characters.

Back in 82 I headed into a K-Mart looking to buy some Eagle Force figures. Came up empty and as I leaving, I saw a new action figure on the peg-GI Joe Bazooka Trooper Code Name: Zap. Needless to say I no longer was into Eagle Force.

G.I.Joe was the death of Eagle Force for me too....and pretty much the death of Eagle Force altogether...lol.
They were a good concept for the time though......unfortunatly G.I.Joe did the concept better.

did they have to name the two black guys "Sgt. Brown" and "Big Bro." ? geeze!

i was born in 84, so never saw the guys on the pegs, but did hear about and i've seen them as an adult. pretty cool for it's time i'm sure.

It reminds me a bit of the Eagle motors logo, too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_(automobile)

I find it funny that, after making umpteen zillion different figures in the old Microman-style body, Mego opted to go diecast mini for Eagle Force. I see what kind of motif they were going for, but Hasbro just had a better feel for the market at the time with their army action figure format. Had Eagle Force figures been made like Joes...well, who knows? I'd bet the EF line would have been a lot more popular back then, though.

It's too bad Mego can't quite re-establish itself well enough to relaunch some of its old brands like EF (and, of course, Micronauts). They need to sell out to Hasbro, and let the Hasbro marketing machine take over. :-)

I had completely forgotten about these until this thread. So these were out before the ARAH figures? Interesting because I remember having some of these.

They were. Barely. IIRC, some of the guys who worked on EF ended up working on Joe. Mego collapsed not too long after EF was released.
