well, since the discussion on these never got anywhere...

I think it's really cool to see where the line was going. I would probably never buy the walkers, but the standard space joe there is really nicely done. I think it's crazy how detailed the facial sculpt is as compared to modern 1:18th toys.

It is neat to see where the line could have gone, but man, I can't help but be thankful it ended when it did. I would have easily passed on these back in 94-95. I'd only want one now for the same reason I have Robo-Joe, the pure absurdity of it. A bad play gimmick with super bright colors does not make for a great toy or for a highly desirable collectible.

I can't pick on the sculpting on these though. Whoever Hasbro had working on the fine details on these did a masterful job.

Aside from the newly sculpted RAH head at the bottom...phail.

Had the line lived to the point that these were released, these would surely have killed it.

If that middle one was Cobra Commander, at least it would justify the horror mask look the movie version of him will have.

Nagative. It doesn't look like any of Miles maskes.

The middle one is Firefly. Green spandex won out for a uniform choice I guess.

Didn't...we...do...this? Recently?

Anyway, while I don't think I would have bought them, I do have a strange desire to make a custom of that Firefly.

I know I'm a minority, but MAN I think all those are awesome!

Star Brigade is a HIGHLY underappreciated sub line. Even the Armor Tech figures were pretty awesome. I know they're not everyone's cup o' tea, but they are nicely detailed.

Thanks for sharing Billy!

I have to agree with you. Honestly, I liked the SB stuff and wanted to see more of it.

Always nice to see what could have been. Not a fan of the Armor Tech figures at all, but the standard SB figures were always quite nice.

I love the body/head/left arm on the middle one. There would have been some serious custom possibilities with those parts, especially repainted. hate the idea of the right arm 'action feature' and teh legs are just too puny at the thighs and knees. I would have bought quite a few of these for fodder.

MOD SPEAK: I don't want to be a killjoy, but I'm closing this thread.

This same exact thread came up not too long ago and the thread had to be closed then by the mod staff. One of the reasons the mods gave was that everything that could be discussed on the topic had been.

I don't see any new information in the first post of this new thread - just pictures with no explaination other than the thread title. I'm not sure what the intend of starting this thread was - it almost appears to be posted to "stir things up" which goes against the board rules. Compounded is that Kilcarr was somewhat vocal in the original thread on this topic.

Regardless of intent, this is a duplicate of a thread that was locked once before. When there is new information about these figures, it would be perfectly fine to post about it. But until then, it's just beating a dead horse.
