Like I said in the location thread, I need to book the hall either way. There's no obligations in booking it, so if we decide on Wilkes Barre or someplace else, there's still no problem. The dates are the last Saturday in May and the first three in June. I put the option at 2 votes and voting will end on the 31st of March.

Didn't vote...as any will work for me at this point.

I chose May 30th and June 13th as my Top 2 choices, although June 20th would work as well. June 6th is my least favorite choice due to an event I'd like to attend in Connecticut on June 7th.

Hopefully more regular/new attendees will post their preferences for clarification.

I voted for the 30th (and it's my Birthday so I expect extra festivities for myself if we have it on my Birthday of May 30...I'll be 32). and I voted for the 13th as well. The 20th would probably work better..but to be honest I don't want to wait that long.
I should have no hang ups this year as far as planting or farming obligations. So I should be good to go with whenever we pick.
I voted for Pottsville in the other poll as well.

I voted the june 20.

If the 6th of June is picked will not be a good choice. There is a Pocono race, actually races for that weekend. Last year the picnic was set the same date as the races and we had to get a hotel room and it was next to impossible. When we found one the price was so jacked up.

We had a great time at the picnic(great time), but we wouldnt be able to swing the $300 again (we only paid that because of having the 3 kids we didnt want to travel back with).

Excellent point. I booked my reservation a couple months beforehand last year and couldn't figure out why almost all of the hotels were sold out, and among the ones that were not sold out why their prices were so jacked up. Then I learned about the whole Poconos racing event. I paid over 100 bucks for a hotel that was one step above a roach motel.

Fortunately, June 6th seems to be the least popular choice.

Regarding June 20th, technically, it has three more votes than shown since Apac, PoetFlint (although not his preferred date), and I all said we could make it on June 20th. However, the poll only allows for two choices. May 30th is still holding onto a slim lead, but there's still a week left in the poll, so you never know.

Hopefully you'd be able to make one of the other dates this time as well. It was nice meeting you last year.

Understood...and I sympathize with you. Pocono race weekend up north is crazy. The way the poll sits now...Pottsville is winning the location, so you won't have to worry much about that...other than you are looking at a little longer drive, about 40 minutes on the interstate down to Pottsville. If you need info on the area...let me or Millsy know.
