So i meet up with Greenshirt for the first time today (dude lives close enough and we've chatted for years on here but first time in that span we have met) at the TRU on route 4.

WE go in and I see a left over Lyra Bevalque (sp?) Golden COmpass fig on the shelves.
Return, or store room leprechaun find, i was happy considering I knew it would be clearance priced, and since i needed her for fodder and had a TRU gift card I zoinked it off the shelves.

Fig was 1 dollar (doesn't get more clearanced then that).

Anyway, i get home, open her up, start to examine her, and find that she has fully joeticulated legs 8-O (we are talking not only ball knee, but PTE style hip pegs). The knees were surprising but the PTE hips blew me away. All she needs is full arms and its a fully articulated joe style kid.

Now that is all fine and good, but what i have to ask myself is what kind of logic did the GC designers go through to end up with this?

Coulter, and the Tartar soldiers, had the t crotch with 0 knee movement.
Ok they had large robes and such,BUT so does Lyra (yet they create pretty clever slits in the coat to make the legs somewhat usable.

I didn't hold any of the other figs so i don't know if the witch, or Bond have it (i think i glanced at some at Spectre's house but don't think they had the PTE hips or ball knees), but why her?

i think this is part of the inconsistency in the line. Had all the figs had this leg format, i would buy more of them at retail price or close to it, because a simply boil and pop armectomy would mean fully joeticulated and in scale figs.

Any thoughts on why they take the smallest fig and just add great articulation to at least the bottom part of her body? :-/
I'm not complaining i just found it hecka strange.

Ah well that would make the most sense :rotfl:

So it wasn't some weird GC logic that drove me insane it was regular and explanatory.

Still I really wish more of these t-crotch co's would adapt this for the figs.

My Big Lots has many of the bears, but they've been at the same $6 for a year and a half now, with little hope of a clearance at a lower price point.

That's good to know on that figure though Rasputin. I had no real use for it, but might find some if I see it at Big lots any time soon. You are right that the other figs had horrible articulation.
