I went tinto Target after work last night and found they had put some 'new' 25th figures on the pegs.

I grabbed Airborne, Pilot Glenda, the Cobra Diver, the Para-Viper, and the Zartan with the cute adorable Swamp Skier.

I had debated on even getting Zartan because he was missing some paint above the legs in the hip section, but decided my 25th 'Noks needed their leader.

I go home and set them aside, then get up this morning to open them.

I get Zartan's backer off and start to separate the two plastic sections. I take out the accessories and start to clear Zartan's legs from the plastic. I notice his left forearm is hanging on by 'a tendon'. I hadn't even attempted to move any part of the figure at that point. The right arm is stiffer than stiff, so I wonder if it got broke while it was being inserted. The card back was great.

Seriously, in all the years I've been buying action figures at retail, I have never had one broken in the package. I had checked each figure for paint apps before buying and picked a different Airborne because the eyes were off. (no-he didn't have the far-seeing gaze from the cartoon-he had Jack Elam's right eye and Marty Feldman's left eye)

I called down to Target and explained the situation. Fortunately they said as long as I had the receipt I could return it.

I'm heading out in a few minutes. I'll let ya know.

well knowing retail stores will take them back is comforting
and this story makes me wary about buying online in fear of receiving a broken figure
