Who are Cobra's marines?

The IGs are really just a PMC, so yeah, I don't think they'd count here, either. Though, seeing as how they actually wear full armor, I could certainly see Cobra using them in that manner.

Never thought about this question.
I think I could use Secto-Vipers, SAW-Vipers, Sub-Vipers or BC Fireflies as Marines.

Well, I don't think any of the existing Cobra figures fit the "Marine" billet.

They should just create a new Viper Marine Corps.
I'm sure that figure would be a hot, hot seller. :-D

See, but I wouldn't count the IGs in with Cobra, I mean lots of times they fight along with Cobra but they really are part of a seperate faction.

What about alley vipers, maybe they fit. I was just trying to figure out what makes one branch different, cobra obviously has an army, and a navy, and an air force. The vehicles and troopers detailed to defend the coastline could surely be called, umm, the coast guard.

But I can't see a marine corps similarity in their structure. Shipboard troopers, in cobra? Umm, yeah, I'll go with bats.

Funny you mention it. I thought about the Alley Vipers too until I re-read their fc and it mentioned that they were like Cobra's version of Police Swat units. That kind of left me a lil bummed.

Lampreys (V2,V3 & V4) are refered to as Cobra amphibious assault troops. There is also mention of Secto-Vipers being used in amphibious assaults too. But I always thought of them in more of a coast guard type role or just boat/sub pilots..

Not trying to resurrect an old post - but I think the Neo-Vipers are probably the closest thing to Marines or Rangers that Cobra has. They are still a basic troop-caste but have better armor, more training, etc.
