Saw the Sting Raider (a.k.a. Water Moccasin) in the store today, which got me thinking...as a kid I remember the cartoon gave me the impression that the Water Moccasin was a unique vehicle; there was only one in existance and operated exclusively by Copperhead.

I don't recall seeing more than one Water Moccasin employed by Cobra, but I'm guessing they must have had more than one.

Does anybody know if the Water Moccasin is a fleet vehicle or one of a kind?

I recall that several episodes of the cartoon showed it as a fleet vehicle.I personally have always thought of it as a unique vehicle that Copperhead designed and payed to have built.

The fact that it was often sent on patrols through swamps indicated to me that Cobra probably operated them in picket patrols - two together surveying the swamp lands, which, judging by the cartoon, they had a lot of bases in.

Mmm, taste the nerdiness!

I always saw it as a fleet vehicle, just like every other non-Dreadnok Cobra vehicle.

But then again, I always used Copperhead and Wild Weasel as troop classes as well :rotfl:

Definetly a fleet vehicle.

I could see a bunch of these patroling the swamps and beaches of Cobra Island.

I always thought it was a unique vehicle. Copperhead's custom ride, specially made to his specifications. For me the Moray is the Cobra fleet naval vessel.

I completely agree. But after getting this new rebuffed version and seeing it for myself, I want to get 4 more and build my own fleet of this awesome water craft.

Yeah, the Moray is fleet, but more in rivers or open water. The Moccasin has the ability to do both. And it was show to have multiples on multiple occasions.

I guess I always saw it as Copperhead's specially designed vehicle. I never actually saw it as a vehicle that Cobra had a bunch of. Although as a kid I didn't see a lot of those vehicles as being one of many. Before the cartoon I saw each vehicle as just an extension of the character. The cartoon is the thing that got me wondering more about there being more than one. Even the comic, there was just 1 Mobat when it first started.

I always felt it was fleet, since it shallow draft it can get in close and still be fast.

I always imagined it had a special design to make it quite

I always thought it was a fleet vehicle, possibly the firs production run or prototype being directed by Copperhead or being involved someway in the design....But I always thought that Copperhead being broke and in debt, with Cobra holding his markers would not have a military grade swamp vehicle until he go on board with them.

Then I started thinking about Marvel comics and wondered if we ever did see him.

The first appearance of the Moccasin was in the early 20's or 30's issues when Wild Weasel was taked to get Firefly to the target.

So, Marvel Cannon seems to support a Cobra command vehicle vs a personal vehicle

Issue #25 has the Moccasin on the cover. Hehe, Cobra Comander is the driver. The opening of the comic has Baroness, Cobra Commander, and Destro all sitting at the gunner station with some unknown driver. It almost looks like it's a Cobra version of the Killer Whale as big as they draw it to look.

I always thought it was a fleet vehicle because of the molds use as the Tiger Shark, plus I remember in the TV episode the traitor Dusty commands a picket of four of them.
