remind me why they decided to use the G.I.Joe license for this product again? Or why Hasbro purposely got on board with a hack job of their product? Since the casual moviegoer might be turned off by the brand name, and the hardcore Joe fan sees nothing conforming to Joe lore, I don't get it.

The ideas they think are "fresh" or new to the product are poorly done rip-offs of other films, and the few parts where they've shown some homage to the real thing (begrudgingly) are the parts that would actually be refreshing in a modern movie.

I've not posted on it before, trying to reserve judgment, but man.

So is the CC was once "Rex" story put to bed? Or is "The Doctor" (Dr. Who?, no, just the Doctor) the beast that Rex supposedly becomes, i.e. Cobra Commander? It's like the writers spent a half hour researching the backstory, using a poorly written wiki, and said 'that's a wrap!'

I think the name "The Doctor" is just bad attempt to keep a his real name a secret. You know like Darth Sidious in Episode One. We all knew it was the Emperor but no offical word till the 3rd movie.

Yeah I'm expecting another Street Fighter with this. Of the images we've seen so far does really look like G.i.joe? Only looking a Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow with his mask on does it look like G.i.joe.
