They do have a clearance section, but its often across the store. I've gotten a few things over the years, its always clearanced at half price.

The pTE base is a steal, if you ask me.

I got one a couple years ago, right now its full of indy boxes, but its so generic, it would be easy to customize to fit any verse.

I've never been able to find one of those command bases. That would definitely be something nice to have.

Ok, you guys talked me into the PTE base and I grabbed one tonight. Luckily I snagged an online Big Lots coupon for 20% off (thanks to a heads up from a JC member whose name I forget - sorry!), so I got it for $24.

I still passed on the huge bike/biker/guitar set by Chap Mei, though I remain intrigued. If I come up with a good way to use the monster bike, I'll head back. Sorry - no pics of it here as of yet. I did nab a Hotwheels 1:18 motorcycle for under $3, and another Adventure Heroes dude for fodder.

Again, I appreciate everyone's feedback on the command post. Even if I end up not taking it out of the box yet, I know my son will be happy I got it, when he's old enough to know.

yes i would like to see a 1/18 guitar
right now in KB they have figs with guitars on clearance but even then they are like 5 bucks which i can't justify for 1 part.
