One thing to keep in mind when planning your trip is that Kansas City's "public transportation system" is nearly non-existant. There is a public bus system but you're way better off renting a car or taking a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. If you want to do any toy hunting a rental is a must. Though the closest area to hunt would be north of town.

Well, talking it over with the wife - we may make it out there for the 'Con this summer if our schedules allow. KC is only a day's drive, so we'll see.
