Okay, I can't post the links here because they're from HissTank, but a friend of mine sent me links to pictures of the B.A.T. from "Resolute".

EXTREMELY impressive Battle Android Trooper. 25th-style format, but I've always cut the BATs more slack format-wise than "people" in the line because they're robots. Cobra can build them however they please.

Mostly black, some grey and red trim, red visor, looks menacing as heck.

The friend who sent it to me said it was "available in a five-pack", and the two pictures showed a single B.A.T. and a group of five.

What I'm trying to figure out is -- is this a FIVE-PACK OF B.A.T.s? Or is it a five-pack of assorted Resolute Joes that includes ONE B.A.T.?

If the former -- I will certainly be getting it. If the latter -- Well, I'll STILL want one, but I'll probably have to either trade someone for it who's not into B.A.T.s, or find some way to sell off the other four figures...

Anybody have any intel on this?

That's always the issue with that site to me. They always claim "they" just got word when they either read it somewhere else or something of that sort. Then it's just fragments of information.

It's the same BAT that's been out, just in new colors. It would make things easier for Hasbro if this is how they'll appear in the cartoon, but I'm not ready to say for sure yet. I have been more leaning that these will be another multi-pack exclusive for Toys R Us. It could very well turn out to be a Resolute figure though.

On a side note, I do like the MARS movie set thats coming out. It looks like it's packed in a way so that you can fold out a cardboard display stand.

Well, yeah, true, and it is the same 25th-style BAT, but that's not at all a bad design, and I like the color scheme. What's gotten me about some of the other sets, like some of the TRU exclusive sets, either the 5-packs or the 3-packs, is that there are some really cool ideas here -- like some of the mild Crimson Guard variants in that set -- that I'd gladly bring in IF they were traditional-style. I'm willing to cut the BATs more slack format-wise, and am impressed with this color scheme, Resolute or not. I'm just wondering if it's a five-pack of BATS or a five pack of figures with ONE BAT.

Hmmm -- a MARS movie set? That sounds interesting. One nice thing about vehicles and playsets -- they'll pretty much work with ANY of the figure formats... :shifty:

Let's not turn this into a thread where we bash that other site.

As for the BATS, I'm betting these are the ones BBTS has listed as part of the new Omega Force five-pack (just one per package, along wihh a new flight suit Duke, CC, Cobra Officer and Trooper). The description says all the figures are Resolute versions of the characters.

so to make a figure resolute we dye it black, but some enamel red on the visor and loose the belt?

hehe, hasbro you salty devil!

I was really hoping hasbro would man up and make the resolution figures all fully realized, but no, more repaints, yay~!

I think anyone on here could make that bat in about ten seconds, just remember to take off the chest piece before submerging the figure in hot water, :shifty:

Just a repaint, but not a bad repaint since it makes the figure more realistic than the yellow does.

Unless something different comes out to say differently then I'm thinking it's just one of the figures in the Omega Force 5 pack. Although it would be nice if we could get a BAT five pack instead of having to track a squad down one figure at the time.

Fingers also crossed that with the Resolute BATs having different colors I hope they repaint the battle damaged BAT into Resolute colors as well.

I know it's bad that we have to live with repaints, but if it's a nice repaint then it doesn't seem as bad.

Hmm, yeah, that sounds likely. Rats. I was hoping for a bunch of BATs. Still will try to get one of him, anyway.

I think the set looks pretty snazzy. I'll be picking this up once it becomes available.
