I gotta agree with you on Rahm Kota being up so high. I put off buying this figure for so long, and then played The Force Unleashed and realized I wanted the figure. Very, very cool toy. One thing that you didn't mention about this figure that surprised me was the fact that he has a lightsaber sheath. I thought this was hilarious when I opened it up.

Zed, this list was great, but one thing I severely disagree with is your pat refusal to watch the Clone Wars cartoons. I know the 5 minute episodes can be annoying, but I do feel like you are missing out. Bear in mind, this was most of our first exposure to General Grievous, and the Grievous in the cartoons is amazing. WAY better than the movie depicted.

I will go so far as to say I will mail you my copies to watch and return, if you're interestred.

Well, the earlier animated Clone Wars are considered EU territory, due to the more extreme representations of the characters. I think I tended to prefer Grievous as the unstoppable bad@*$, but can acknowledge his current characterization as being more deeply written.

It could be... depends on your point of view But the more I converse with the SW crowd, the more I get the sense that they aren't necessarily adhering to the specifics of the Genndy version with the new show. Really the only difference I'm seeing for myself is the characterization of Grievous, nothing overly contradictory.

I don't see a whole lot of difference in the old CW Grievous vs the currect CW Grievous, honestly. The biggest difference is that he doesn't seem to be as cool.

Zed...I'll be honest... It's been a long time since I've taken the time to look at anything you put out. This list was a plesent surprise, and a fun little read....though being honest, I didn't read everthing...though I at least skimmed it.

If anything I'm jelous that you've been able to find so many cool figures...There are a number of newer Joes and the TOD Indiana Jones figs that I'd love to get my hands on...but havn't seen them in stores.

Not sure if it's an option, but your text fills the full screen...from edge to edge...maximized on a 17" laptop moniter, that's a bit of eye movement...If you could cap the columns to not be any wider than your pics I think it'd read a lot easier.

Your photo skillz have obviously improved since the last time I checked out your work...maybe it's just the equipment...I dunno...but I think ditching the photo shoppy backgrounds in favor of 2 or 3 nice clean photos would highlight the figures a lot better.

Black Adam, The Question, etc. are starting to finally show up on TRU & Target pegs around me. *FINALLY*. I had thought they weren't made yet. Also single packed manhunters and the other weapon guy from the green lanter TRU gift set are showing up now.

Interesting choices, I'll have to revisit some of these SW figures.

Thanks one and all for the kind words I really enjoyed doing this. It hit me one day just looking over my figures and I thought it would be fun, and it was a great deal in fact.

But I am also very glad everyone got something out of it too, as though opinionated as I am I thought that it was still fun to go through all of my thoughts on why these little guys play such an important part of my life.

Sure I admit my refusal was at the time and I regretted it later, I was temped when it came out on DVD but passed, now I really wish I hadnt done it as I really enjoy the new CW series.

HMMM I know I debated that for quite some time, I also wondered if I could "Photoshop" all the pics and make them look satisfactory to my tastes (which I will confess the only one I feel fell short was IG-86, but also he was the last one I did and I was spent).

Then again there are so many really good shots of these figures all over the net as well, I really just wanted a slightly different look to the shots. Something that said "ah this is what I did." Not sure how well that came accross.

Pretty fair list.

One thing I would argue against though, is that you say Hellboy
He actually has quite a bit of articulation in his right arm, just no elbow articulation is all. He still has a ball jointed shoulder, a swivel just below his shoulder, a swivel where the "Right Hand of Doom" meets his coat, and a ball jointed wrist on the "Right Hand of Doom".

It does kind of suck about no elbow articulation, but he still has more articulation in his right arm than many other figures do.
