I'm wondering how people use the following Cobras:

Major Bludd and Copperhead. Me personally I use Copperhead as Cobra Command's main smuggler. His character is not one that would be put into a combat situations, and he would be an awful commander, why the hell would Cobra make a guy who's a compulsive gambler in charge of anything.

Major Bludd is someone I use as Cobra's go to Assassin. Ninja's are usually a back up plan for assassinations.

But I'm more interested in hearing how you use these guys

Copperhead stayed with Cobra until his gambling debts were paid off. Then he stole a Moray and defected to work as head of Serpentor's fledgling naval forces where he felt he would gain more respect.

Major Bludd is a mercenary in every sense of the word. Cobra is his main client though as his ways are too ruthless for most governments' taste. He is technically a Private Military Contractor and heads The Plague, a group of 12 men who work in teams of two. (Robbed that whole PMC and two man teams thing from Army Of Two.)

I am kind of with you on Copperhead being a smuggler but instead he is fairly combat orented. I tend to think of an Evil version of Han Solo with a skiff instead of a spaceship.

Major Bludd is a merc but also has hired on full time with Cobra. He is thier Field Commander and is payed quite well for his services. Unlike Most merc he has the reputation of never breaking a contract and dispite numorious bribe attempts has never turned on Cobra Commander. He is basicly the Cobra Equivalant to Duke (only cooler).

Copperhead's an addict. His big problem's gambling, but he's the kind of guy who isn't happy without some monkey on his back. Cobra basically saved his life...gave him the money to pay off his debts and put him in treatment for the drugs he'd gotten hooked on. Now he's about as loyal as Cobras come.

Bludd was a notorious war criminal and oft studied military genius before anyone ever heard of Cobra. He was rumored to be working with the fledgling organization from the start, training its soldiers and generally lending credibility to the threat they posed in exchange for lucrative compensation.

In my dioverse, he's been an enigmatic figure (spoilers ahead):

Basically Bludd's a merc, but his loyalty can be bought. When he takes a job, he does it. And he doesn't half-arse it. He won't turn tail if he feels his personal risk outweighs the price he's being paid...mostly because the prices he demands assume the greatest possible risk. In a weird way, he's honorable. Certainly dependable. And that's why Cobra trusts him.

I see Major Bludd as having shed his mercenary status over the years to become one of Cobra Commander's more trusted (and genuinely reliable) field commanders.

Copperhead, despite his sleazy nature, has surprisingly grown into the competent head of Cobra's navy. While he lacks the political savvy of characters like Tomax and Xamot, his hands-on approach earns him the respect and loyalty of his subordinates.

Just my take.

Copperhead is a boat pilot in charge of a small crew of Cobras that work with the Dreadnoks.

Bludd is a mercenary Cobra "Major" trying to earn favor with the Commander for inclusion into Cobra's elite circle of Generals.

Copperhead is a cajun swamp rat that generally hangs with the 'noks. Someone that Gung-Ho would go after for terrorizing folks on the bayou.

Major Bludd is a mercenary and right now, Cobra is paying him more. That may change, though.

I like this! My Duke and Major Bludd will definitely be throwing down on a regular basis, now.

Copperhead, for me, is a middle rank naval officer. He develops and races power boats and likes to bet on himself. He doesn't have troops directly beneath him but he can command troops when necessary. He works with Croc Master and others to provide security to which ever base Cobra Commander is at. A more recent development in his terrorist career includes eligibility for Cobra Commanders elite unit The Plague, though he turned down service there to continue working on security, a capacity which offers him allot of free time to work on his boats.

Major Sebastian Bludd is indeed a mercenary whose influence has waxed and waned over the years. He served with the ASAS for a few years and went AWOL when he met Mercenaries who told him the kind of money he could be making working for rouge states and dictators. When first affiliated with COBRA he trained Blueshirts and along with Weapons designer Destro developed the original Viper Corps. Bludd rose in the Cobra ranks due to his cunning and willingness to follow orders even when they seem frivolous. Cobra has made the good major rich many times over though he horded and hid most of his wealth for some time. Today he serves as field commander for Cobra's ground forces as long as he receives pay checks. Recently his allegiance has been brought into question when he unveiled his on personal mercenary army, The Skull Squad. These troop which number about 12 are comprised of military talent recruited from Major Bludd's shady circles and are on the terror watch list of every western nation. No one is sure how well financed and organized the Major is.

Copperhead - I treat him just like I treat Wild Weasel in my Joeverse, a merc for hire. If Cobra has a particularly difficult mission, Copperhead is their go-to guy. He makes deliveries when others can't...or won't. Someone earlier said an "evil Han Solo" which is a pretty good description. Well, I don't necessarily think of him as an "evil" version, but maybe Han Solo with no morals or scruples.

Maj. Bludd - He's just the guy in charge of the blueshirts.

Copperhead to me is in over his head at Cobra. He was hired on in the early days as a boat driver for select missions in the Everglades. Once Cobra moved to Cobra Island, his usefulness was greatly diminished, and he had to struggle more to earn his keep. He's not really the soldier type, and while he is of a questionable moral standing, he's never participated much in the hands on dirty work in Cobra. In my universe, he lives on a boat permanently moored on the Cobra Island docks, and hosts weekly poker games for the Cobra mercs - the non enlisted, fringe mercenary types: Wild Weasel, Storm Shadow, Firefly, etc.

Major Bludd I use more as a traditional officer. He started out as a soldier of fortune, but after years of satisfying performance, he was brought into the fold full time, and often leads ground force operations.
