I'm not sure if these are out in the US already since I haven't seen the thread for them yet. Mods, please move this post as needed.

My thoughts:

Deep Six is the only new figure out of the six. And that is, if you don't already have the SHARC. I prefer this silver one since the one that came with the SHARC looks too much like the original.

Rock&Roll is best figure, but personally I love the O13 and their uniforms so those arms are going to be swapped with the single carded version. They'll need some painting though, since the green doesn't match the original. They don't match Falcon's either.

Gung Ho looks nice but again, it's down to a choice between tribute or modernization. I prefer modernization. Both Rock & Roll and Gung Ho have this Vietnam War look and feel to them.

If the single carded Fred is a tribute to the 1987 version, this one is a tribute to the 2001 version. Nothing new here. Most people already popped a Fred head onto their Cobra Commander anyway.

Viper & Grenadier. Aside from the minor minor minor color changes, they're the exact same figures as before and this particular set only appeals to the troop builders. If you follow the comics, technically, their accessories should be reversed.

So all in all, only Deep Six, Rock & Roll, and Gung Ho are keepers.

Repaints. Great.

Rock 'n Roll is an improvement, though I don't care for the camo pattern on the legs. Gung Ho is also an improvement.

Deep Six disproves the old adage that you can't paint a piece of crap. Apparently, you can- you can paint it silver. Honestly, I like that at list it looks a bit different than the '84 version.

Fred, Viper, IG? All boring.

ooo look at you and your snazzy new picture backgrounds :). Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and the mini review. It looks like a wave I can safely skip, did the Fred/Battle Armor CC thing way back around wave 6

I never got Armored CC anyway, and I like the darker blue. I'll probably slap my unmasked CC custom head on it, though, to mimic issue 61. I can also use the entire lower half of Gung Ho for my Doomguy custom- repaint the boots gray, perhaps, use my spare Buzzer feet, and remove the brown camo with alcohol.

I got the Deep Six / RockNRoll pack last week and I really dig Deep Six. Sure he has limited articulation, but this is an awesome paint job on the figure.

Rock N Roll isn't bad but he's a strange choice for this comic which was chock full of characters.
The figure's face looks too much like Timelf for me to take him seriously.

I found all three packs a couple weeks ago at Walmart. The choices aren't great, but I can use all the figures. The Gung-Ho is just wating to be turned into Gaucho from Action Force.
