While I am sincerely grateful to have ALL of the Oktober Guard, I have to say that #1 on the list has to be HORROR SHOW! I always liked the character, and the look of him, and honestly, that coat was virtually impossible to do a custom of with previous parts, as evidenced by the fact that Hasbro went so far as to sculpt the entire coat from scratch for this figure, something that didn't happen very often in that time period for traditional-style figures.

Yes, I realize he's a bit on the short side compared to what he should be. It's still a fantastic individual likeness, and I'll live with it.

This was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. I actually like the '98 OG figures (with the obvious exception of Volga). The 05 figures were OK. Stormavik was the figure I most wanted and he was OK. But, nothing great. Horrorshow has his shortcomings, but the figure is instantly recognizable as Horrorshow and that alone makes him a great figure. I even like the Daina figure more than I ever thought I would like a Lady Jaye repaint. But, the winner, hands down, is the Convention Dragonsky. This is, to me, a perfect figure. He is perfectly colored, uses obscure molds in a unique way, is true to the character, and has excellent accessories. Were all ARAH style repaints done as well as Dragonsky, we'd still get those at retail instead of the crap we see today.

1. Horrorshow. Just like the other people have said, quite a good and long wished figure for the OG. He just needs a bigger RPG.

Also credits for:
Shrage and the grey Big Bear (Lt. Gorky '98), because of their Russian looks. You can make great troopers of those bodies.

The original figure was such a great pure-military design when the line was starting to drift from that... I had the 98 release of the mold long before I ever saw the original... and I was blown away when I finally got one.

I never quite got over those tiny differences between the original figures and 98-and on releases, type of plastic, skin tone, eyes, all those... When I got the 98 Col. Brekhov I was really impressed with the mold but wanted to know what the original was like, and when I got one it just really exemplified what I loved about the old figures and what was lacking about the newer ones.

Still, when Hasbro started filling out the OG ranks, I was very temped to pick some of them up...
