Dude, now IS later.

Yes, but, you have no concept of Tex's definition of "later". :-)

This thing is BADASS!!!!

The box is a solid wrap around of the movie poster, with the New York skyline in the background, and the headless Statue of Liberty in the foreground. No window on the box.

To open it the whole box lifts up and off, except a section around the bottom that is about 2-3 inches tall and says "Cloverfield" on it.

The figure is in a brown cardboard clamshell like the BMF and AT-TE were packed in.

After you remove the figure's carboard clamshell from the box, THE BOX IS A DIORAMA FOR THE FIGURE! It has the section around the bottom with the movie name on it attached to the base. Then above that are some stills from the movie.

The inside of the box has a couple 3-D buildings and a back drop that also has a picture of the city with some explosions. The "ground" part of the base is printed with rubble, streets, cars, and a few tanks.

Way too cool. Absolutely the coolest packaging I've ever seen!

The closed mouth head has a trapdoor on the backside where the parasites are held, and the open mouth head has a feature where you press it's tongue down to hear the roar. It also has a button on it's back that will make the roar, so you can still hear the roar if you have the closed mouth head on it.

It is VERY well articulated. Almost every joint is a ball joint, and almost every knuckle, on it's feet and hands, are jointed, as well as all of it's elbows, knees, hips, shoulders, ankles, wrists, and torso. Plus it's tail is soft rubber with a posing wire inside. Always a plus!

The sculpt and detail is outstanding. It even has small blue veins painted all over it's pale skin and some softly blended grey spots. It has some darker brown ink washing on the hands and feet that fade up the arms and legs, and on the tail. It makes it look like mud or dirt, either from the sea bed, or from trashing the city.

The figure is well worth the price, but then adding the awesome packaging to it, it is an outstanding piece!!!

After seeing the look on my son's face when he saw mine, I can't wait for him to get his own on Christmas day!!!

I will get some pictures this weekend.

Mine arrived as well (or so I'm told). I'll post some pics as well. I'll be getting home on the 14th of Dec.

Wow.
If this thing keeps selling the way it has been, we can soon change the title of this thread to "Cloverfield Movie Monster: SOLD OUT"!

When I got my shipping notification I curiously checked how many they had in-stock. It was in the low 100's. Like 118 or so.
I checked again on Friday, and it was 74.
Checked this morning and it was 42.
Now it's down to 37 left.
(EDIT: make that only 14 left as of 11:30am CST 12-11)

Oh and for anyone who hasn't gotten it yet and wants it, the promo code for HTS (posted in another thread) seems to work for this item.

Holiday25 : gets you 25% off, and since it's over $50 you get free shipping! So that's only $74.99 SHIPPED.

I really wish I would've had this code to use, when I ordered. The figure is worth every penny I paid, but even after I used a 10% off code, this code would've saved me an additional $50 on my order!
