There was at one time in Australia a bunch of new giant toy stores called World 4 Kids. Around 1993 they arrived, and they didn't last long as they were out of business before I even went to one of them.

I knew I had a catalog from there, but until I looked at it recently didn't remember there were G.I. Joe advertisements. So here is a historical page from a defunct store. Maybe it would have remained operating if I had gone there.

Something that must have been annoying at the time, the catalog didn't have any prices.

I know folks may have hated those years but that was when I was about ten and GI Joe was the world to me! Thanks for hearkening back to my childhood.

Wow. Seeing that catalog layout really brought out the rediculous colors of the figures in the 90s. I am so glad we are way past that and likely won't go back again.

That's right. We're much better off now with bland colors and every other figure being a Duke, Snake Eyes, or Cobra Commander. :shifty:

At least we won't see any bright yellow and red figures, or figures with yellow detailing and neon orange kneepads. :shifty:

Yeah, I would say that's pretty much an accurate statement, except for the colors being bland.

Dude, no worries, if you need your action figures to look like a gay pride parade there's always The Power Rangers.
