That Storm Shadow actually looks pretty cool, maybe not for the world of Joes, but as a stand alone figure. I like Shipwreck's head, I did not like the old one. And whats wrong with Flint's face? haha

Before you bash that Destro too much look at the mold, look at the webgear sculpted onto the legs and the straps behind the chest armor. Then go look at a Hit & Run V1. Seriously.

Tunnel Rat is a good likeness, as is Shockblast, but neither are mind blowing. SB's gas mask is pretty cool though.

Hasbro barely tries with the new boxed sets and everyone makes googly eyes and can't wait to spend $50 on figures they already own. Then rad new comic pack images are shown and the discussion is mainly about Hisstank.com... I don't get it.

Dude did you see all the new tooling in those 5 packs? Lady Jay is all new except for the head, Shipwreck is entierly new, and the Barroness is the first of the movie scupts (most likely). I'm personaly just as excited about those boxed sets as I am about any new comic packs.

I agree with everyone. :shifty:

Dream makes a good point in the fact that the 5-pack figures have almost (or more) new tooling than the comic packs do, which makes them almost all new figures. Yeah, I too get a bit tired of the rehashes, but Hasbro seems to have answered nearly every fan complaint about a lot of their central characters with the release of these 2 5-packs. I see a lot of collectors railing on them on other sites, which is fine, but personally, I think these things will sell like CRAZY during the holidays and '09 to folks who are more casual fans. Lots of popular cartoon-era figures all in one spot, much like the first two 5-Packs that did so well.

As for myself, I'm probably the super-exception because out of both 5-packs and these comic packs, the one I'm most excited about is Resolute Destro. :D

As Dream pointed out, that's Hit & Run under there, BABY!!! :D

Also, I'm looking more forward to the Resolute stuff in general than I am about a lot of the vintage-rehashes, so I'm psyched to see a full fledged "Resolute" type design. Not to mention Destro is by far my favorite looking character out of the Resolute art we've seen so far, so seeing him here makes me pretty happy, too.

Lots of good stuff coming down the pipeline....

Justin

I like them both especially SW - dual leg holsters = win, gas mask = win, Helmet and Hat = win!

Tunnel Rat is Tunnel Rat and that's the way it should be not the Spy troops adaptation of TR.

So where can I find what the up coming waves are? What are we on 9?

The resolute figures I'd be way more excited about if I saw their characters used in media (i.e. toon or the comics they come with). As it is though...they do look damn sweet.

These look great. I'm glad they're not in some kooky animated style. Definately picking up both packs. Dubo Stormy will become a new ninja in my verse, TR and SW look awesome, and Destro will wind up in the fodder bin.

Now give me Recoil dammit!

The webgear on that Destro may look like Hit N' Runs, but the torso is still IG Destro, so I wonder how well it'll work on a smaller torso. Storm Budo is neat though, and I do dig the Destro for some weird reason. Tunnel Rat is Tunnel Rat, though he looks to have the Popeye arms, so my excitement is diminished a bit. Shockwave is pretty badass, but he needs different feet and less humongous holsters. Still, nothing I can't fix.

I happen to like the new 5-packs coming out. Yes it's a bunch of figures we all already own, but there's new tooling, there's new improvements (chrome faceplate Viper with fixed writsts!). The Animals are in more dynamic poses and finally being a cartoon junkie - these are very accurate representations of how the characters looked in the cartoon! Now I've got to find a way of getting Storm Shadow's sleeveless arms on my pure white Comic Pack Storm Shadow to have the perfect cartoon Stormy. So I consider it $50 well spent. Sure Hasbro could have done all this the first time around, but hell this is Hasbro. If it's one thing I've appreciated the most with the 25A line is the cartoon/comic accuracy!

As for the new comic packs, honestly the only one I'm excited about is Tunnel Rat, the rest get a big "meh" factor.

For someone who's never been his biggest fan, I'm actually kind of jazzed about Shockwave. They really seem to have nailed him.

Destro I need a much closer look at before passing judgement.

While the last thing we need is another Stormshadow, at least this one has anew look. I see some potential army builders for this mold, actually.

Tunnel Rat's anott what I expected. Still, I'd like a closer look before giving him my thumb up.
